First off, my side lights mount in th same holes as my upper door skin mounts.. (factory position) as for the sliders...... OEM but HEAVILY MODIFIED... Cut apart to widen to match up with the 32x10's on 5+3 rims... and then cut so I could slide a THICK WALL pipe inside the metal conduit they used for the rails... Hope these pics help....

First off let me start with welcome to the forum!!! Nice ride! You'll find lots of info and some pretty good people here on the forum!! If it can be done to a defender, someone here has most likely done it... Or BROKE IT... LOL... Enjoy the forum and be safe!!! Joe and Bear

Well, looks like it's a pap type system.. Buds only required to RESET unit if needed... I'm sure you will like it with the tracks especially... HAVE FUN and ENJOY
-
As per the DPS... It works Dynamically... As you start off it works more, but as speed increases it fades away.... It actually works well. Did you mention "you" were installing the DPS? Because I may be wrong... but I believe that may require a BUDS unit to center... VERY NICE LOOKING RIG!! Think I'm gonna have to keep Bear from seeing these pictures... He'll most likely want a new pair of kicks....

Snorkel kit with Gear Rail and Wiper?
A hunt 2 remember replied to Bad Daddy's topic in Defender Talk
MANY of the upgrades do NOT work with others... or work with factory upgrades already installed... and their website/catalog information is VERY MISLEADING!! as per what works with what... or what IN TOTAL is required... In your case of the gear rack... I would guess a little fab work and rewelding the rack back a couple inches and you'd have it... Good luck Joe -
Halolocker.com I have a 19... I'll look... but pretty sure you can get one.. HD 10?

Mine has done the exact same thing. NO WARRANTY..... WTF??? Going to Halo locker for front differential now... LOVE MY RIG!!!! HATE MY MANUFACTURER/WARRANTY!!!!!

New to Can-Am with a 2021 Max XT HD10 !!
A hunt 2 remember replied to MattFROMcali's topic in Introductions
Well let me say WELCOME!!! and GREAT TO HAVE YA AROUND!! There are MANY here with a WEALTH OF INFO/INPUT... Some of us have done extensive modifications while others have tried to stay stock ... But from what I've seen, most anything that HAS GONE WRONG with these beasts, has been addressed here at some point!! Bear( my 2019 HD10 XT cab) has had a few bumps and bruises along the way. Which somehow, UMM.... WERE NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY..... GO FIGURE!!!! But we have worked through most... now is a new front differential... "Buy a CanAm they said... It will be AWESOME they said...." But in REALITY...... I LOVE MY BEAR!!!! "If you build them. THEY WILL BREAK!!" Me.......... 😉 WELCOME TO THE GROUP!!! THE ADDICTION IS REAL!!! -
DANG!!!!! THAT BITES!!!! Did you Google resetting PPS faults? If you were closer.... Hope they can fit you in.... and it's merely a reset.... NOT the actual sensor..... FINGERS CROSSED, Joe and Bear

Heavy load, Improving Stability. Wheel Spacers?
A hunt 2 remember replied to Ben's topic in Defender Talk
New rims.... You are only changing overall width with spacers... the torque will then be transferred to the outside of them... Changing the wheels, the torque remains in the original placement. You are running the OEM Bighorns? 9"/11"x14".....? If so, part of your roll is the tire sidewalls on a round profile tire... If you go to a flat or slightly flatter profile tire you won't have the roll that you are getting now... One other thing... if you change offset rather than spacers... you can change the front around some without sacrificing the steering. The key TO REMEMBER is.... the inner offset is usually the one to work off of.... Meaning you USUALLY CANNOT make the inner offset any deeper unless increasing diameter... due too steering components... a great choice for 2020+ and 19's with 2" forward A-arms is a set of 32×10×14" tires on a set of 5+3 offset wheels... but a 31" tire on a stock '19 will work fine... Well, after a 2" lift kit.... which i happen to know a guy with an extra sittin' around... Favorite quote: "If you build them, THEY WILL BREAK!!!" Good luck and HAVE FUN!! Joe and Bear -
Back up!!! Hold on!!!!! So... A PPS fault message is telling you you have a Faulty "Pedal Position Sensor(s)" So.... Without scouring a 2 year old manual.... I would suggest looking down where the pedals hang and check for loose connections... probably connected within' the throttle pedal considering the limp mode/kill mode.... probably a loose connection during assembly. Hopefully an easy fix... Fingers crossed!!

Not sure yer gonna get that one without a dealer reset.... But try this... disconnect the cables and touch them to each other. Grounding out any resistors/computer that may be holding anything.... That one could be embedded... My loose battery offset my DPS..... Had to reset it.. Bought my own buds then... our service where I'm at is WEAK SAUCE!!!!! I'll check my manual... 2019 but you can download a free manual via BRP.COM Good luck, Joe and Bear

Heavy load, Improving Stability. Wheel Spacers?
A hunt 2 remember replied to Ben's topic in Defender Talk
I guess to explain just a bit why..... When I want to break something free.... I extend my handle... longer rachet handle... longer box end.... longer spacers....... IMO Especially since most spacers are cheap cast aluminum..... maybe by design... so you launch one..... they pop before an axle... I'd rather change my offset if that was my goal. Problem is... you can then pretty much use only a front as a spare and limp back to the trailer HOME.... if you get a flat... So many considerations... ask a dozen guys.... get 15 answers..... lol... 😉 Joe -
Heavy load, Improving Stability. Wheel Spacers?
A hunt 2 remember replied to Ben's topic in Defender Talk
EXACTLY..... Same reasoning (slow speeds) they can add spacers... Especially 1.5" spacers... are we talking per? So a gain of 3" to the width? Cornering stresses and large rock/big holes would be my worry... Never been a fan... Let us know how it goes.. Are you spacing the front at all? -

2020 Defender Max HD10 Secondary Clutch Issue
A hunt 2 remember replied to DiabloBoar's question in Defender Problems
Can ams warranty OR LACK THERE OF!!! SUCKS!!! Blew my Viscolok front diff.... less than 12 months and under 2000 miles... was told, "warranty doesn't cover that if it's broken" I looked at him (trying not to punch him in the face) and said, "WHY THE "F" WOULD I NEED IT WARRANTED IF IT WEREN'T BROKEN?!!!!" It's like they have a 12 step warranty. 12 steps out the door? WARRANTY IS OVER!!! So now I will be installing a Halo locker..... So lets see.... Front axles..... NO WARRANTY!!! Faulty window switches.... NO WARRANTY!!! DPS on the fritz.... NO WARRANTY!!! OR TIME!!! Left front caliper??? You guessed it.... NO WARRANTY!!!! NOW THE FRONT DIFF???? WOW!!!! AND I LOVE THIS THING????? YEP!!! LOVE MY BEAR.... HATE MY MANUFACTURERS BULL PUCKY!!! Hence the reason I bought a buds unit!!! (Aftermarket) Pretty IRRITATING to say the least Joe -
Defender MAX XMR start anomalies
A hunt 2 remember replied to Hunter K's question in Defender Problems
EXACTLY... I find parking Bear on a incline/decline helps set the tranny in park. But if I park him on the flat..... I have to rock him a little before he actually drops into park... You will get used to it, and it will most likely no longer be an issue.... Good luck!! Joe and Bear -
I also have some posted info on this... my rear firewall has an inch of foam as well as a rubber mat between it and the seats. I've also added a 1/2 rubber horse mat as a floor liner which helps with road noise... and a 1/2 of foam on the bottom of the roof. May not be as quiet as my ram.... but DEFINITELY QUIETER than stock.... Joe

2020 Defender X mr speedometer & power steering problem
A hunt 2 remember replied to Rhe a Haston's question in Defender Problems
Heres some DPS FAULT CODES.... Unfortunately without the buds.... you cant reboot it.... or even try to recalibrate it... Not sure what they are gonna charge you.... But I found the buds has already paid for itself. I also can now reset my own maintenance warnings and change certian parameters within the system. As well as a cool greeting when I start Bear up.... "Welcome Big Daddy.... LET'S GO!!!" Pretty trivial.... but yerz don't say it... 😉 Joe and Bear -

2020 Defender X mr speedometer & power steering problem
A hunt 2 remember replied to Rhe a Haston's question in Defender Problems
If you were closer I'd throw my buds unit on it and check the DPS... This is the EXACT reason I purchased it... My dealer was 3 weeks out for drop off, and two weeks figured for the work..... WTH??? I pretty much NO LONGER NEED the dealer anymore.... I'll check those codes in my manual. They may be different than a 2019. But I'll check...
