  1. I'll be curious to find out if the new unit fixes your issues... I really think it will considering the symptoms you are describing. Joe
  2. I really think your unit is JUNK!!! New unit will most likely fix your issue... Good luck, Joe
  3. Oh baby.... You may have opened a can of worms this time..... I'm thinking EVERYONE has an opinion... lol As far as it goes, How are you with your HD's power with 2 adults in it? How about loaded? By chance have you added bigger tires? Gonna plow snow??? All things to consider when looking at your swap.... best of luck in your decision. Only thing better than a good small motor? A BIG MOTOR!!! You can always NOT use the power of a big motor when it'sNOT NEEDED. But you can NEVER USE power you DON'T HAVE.... Just a thought. Joe
  4. Well, I actually have the OEM heated covers and LOVE THEMin the winter... but as for the backs and middle seat? I googled it and it's pretty SLIM PICKIN'S fro. What i can see... All i could find is these... https://www.sidebysidesports.com/canamdeseco.html?utm_source=googlepepla&utm_medium=adwords&id=&gclid=Cj0KCQiA8dH-BRD_ARIsAC24umaFsGm-59c0txwZjv11TePM2Fk_OysKKvnS0Q_NLvh7VotnzLwUnXkaAt8hEALw_wcB. But RED??? Good luck, Joe
  5. Welcoming you from here in NW Oregon... Bear and me waving a paw.... HAVE FUN/ STAY SAFE/ and HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Lots of info here and LOTS OF GREAT PEOPLE!!! Welcome to the group!!! Joe
  6. He's trying to go wireless as well as in cab rocker... Others have used some wireless adapter wired as pictured above.. seems he is having a remote issue. Considering the winch works fine with wired setup... But when he connects the wireless adapter it immediately fires off the winch... THOUGHT..... Pull the remote battery.... that would at least rule that out.... into the brain unit itself..... not breaking contact..... So glad we chatted about that Andy.... 😉 Joe
  7. That's what it seems like to me.... good luck!! Where did you get the wireless adapter? Maybe you could stop and see if they will return it? Or let you try a new remote atleast...
  8. Today as I was walking to the store, over in the corner of the parking lot I saw two blind guys fighting.... They were really going at it. Should have seen their faces when I said, " My money is on the guy with the knife"....... 😉
  9. OMG!!!! Didn't think about trax height.... DON'T TELL MY WIFE!!!!! 😉 Joe
  10. Yep... if you have the red hooked to positive, black to ground, white to rear post of winch controller, and yellow to the front post..... and you start to reel instantly..... seems something is askew... have you tried touching just one of the wires to both front and back posts? Seeing if the winch fires off? Either in or out.... Then trying the other wire in the same manner??? Oh how I love wiring..... NOT!!! Good luck, Joe
  11. If you are hooking it up correctly and it immediately starts to reel.... sounds like you have a bad solenoid or switch.... Sticky button? Gonna re read back a bit in thread... and see the reference..
  12. Just ordered my parts for this upgrade. All parts as noted above. Only thing is... the handle starts with 70800 instead of the 70560 prefix... ended up 34 USD
  13. As for the condensation during storage... I would get ether a dehumidifier or a couple "dry air"s that you can get for an RV... If the dehumidifier.... just put in the conex... if the RV models... put in cab of SXS... good luck Joe
  14. Not exactly sure about that... Or where you're at... But I guess if you live in an area with sales tax it may prove worthy of trying a state that does NOT... That could add up to a pretty substantial chunk... depending on what that chunk is... and the time and milage it is away... will be your limiting factors as to which route you will take... good luck in your choice... Joe
  15. Maybe so... but with over 1000 miles on him on rugged trail systems like that and NO SAG.... I'm good. To each their own, glad you can help others that feel your supports are needed. I myself, don't see the need. But thats just me...
  16. One early Monday morning while sitting in the back office, the owner of a business gets a phone call.. He answers and it is one of his employees.... The young man starts off with... Me no feel good, me sick, me no make work today.... The boss expecting a busy day tells his employee.... I'll tell you what, here's what I do when I'm feeling sick in the morning... after starting coffee, I head back upstairs and have morning sex with my wife... After a good roll in the rack I usually feel MUCH BETTER and I'm ready for a PRODUCTIVE DAY!!! Maybe you should give that a try.... The young man replies thats a GREAT IDEA!!! I GIVE TRY!! About an hour goes by...... The phone rings.... it's the employee.... Me try that... but still no feel good... no make it to work today.... BTW.... You have very nice home...... 😉
  17. As for mounting rear speakers.... I merely used the liner itself to mount the speakers. I also added one screw and fender washer just in front of the speakers... there is an embossed ring for placement. I have over 1000 miles with them installed this way, with NO issues... while I don't jump him or anything crazy like that.... but I DO wheel him (Bear) PRETTY HARD!! Again... with NO issues... Hopefully this helps... the picture shows the placement of the added screw. I used panel clip nuts to anchor the speaker to the liner... Good luck... Joe
  18. Well, after owning my 19 with the visco lok front diff that has GRENADED already at nearly 2k in milage..... not really sure WHEN it went??? BUT ITS TOAST NOW.... And all the other PIDDLY CRAP all the way around..... I wouldn't worry to much about it and it's OVERPRICED OPTION..... I'd go with a Halo locker and get TRUE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE at the push of an AFTERMARKET SWITCH!!! LOL While I love my Bear.... I'M LOSING ALL CONFIDENCE IN CANAMS QUALITY/WORKMANSHIP!!! FOLLOWED BY THE GARBAGE SUPPORT THEY OFFER ON A SXS THAT COST AS MUCH AS MY RAM!!! SHAME ON THEM!!!
  19. That number is probably taken with the shocks at mid spring adjustment. You could probably make it lower..... Not sure about you.... But i didn't buy a Defender to turn it into a Chica low rider with dingle balls, diamond tucked upholstery, and a chain link steering wheel.... lol... I like yer idea of having it custom made to fit yer beast... I happen to be a CUSTOM kind of guy!!! Just make sure you give yourself some room to GROW!!! Joe
  20. I'm actually thinking about dropping my skids again. This time I'll fill that cavity with expanding foam for a couple reasons... first of which NOISE dampening. Secondly for HEAT RETENTION. Joe
  21. Ends up..... it was a sticky caliper!!! And by the way...... I HAD TO BUY AND INSTALL IT!!! NO WARRANTY. WHAT A CROCK OF $H@TT!!!
  22. I hate to say it, But you are 100% correct in that the dealer will DO SQUAT!!! Even if they fond the problem..... Warranties most likely won't cover it.... Or it will be such a PITA to get it covered...... That you'll end up saying F' IT!!! And do it yourself anyway.... better to just skip ALL THE BS!!!! and just fix it yourself.... I had a brake issue that I just couldn't figure out....(WOULD NOT STAY UNDER PRESSURE) so I took it to the local dealer. They had it for a week and told me it was a disc/hub issue... So I bought them both.... Guess what? Both were PERFECT!!!! So I called them about it.... and did some SERIOUS REAMING!!!! And told them I wanted to talk to management about it... So the manager calls and tells me that they couldn't hardly turn the wheel because the visco lok diff was f'd up.... and they assumed the brake issue was as described above.... THEN WHY THE F DIDN'T THEY TELL ME THAT WHEN THEY CALLED ME???? He told me "they did". REALLY???? Don't ya think I'd have had that looked into while it was in, IF IN FACT THAT WAS THE CASE??? Then when I ask about the diff...... They tell me they don't warranty broken parts like that..... WHY IN THE F WOULD I NEED A PERFECTLY GOOD OPERATIONAL DIFF COVERED BY WARRANTY!!! F'N CROOKS!!!! And CanAm was NO HELP EITHER!!! GOOD LUCK!! Joe
