  1. I bet if you were to BUY some nuts/bolts..... They would have some!!! Maybe call them and ask if they have WHIPPED CREAM???? Whipped cream? Why would we have whipped cream? Answer..... TO COAT THIS PLATE OF BS YER TRYING TO FEED ME!!!!!!
  2. THAT'S TOTAL F'N BS!!!! Just get the bumper!!! I'll send you bolts!! Seems your CanAm dealer is NO DIFFERENT THAN THE REST!!!! ONLY CARE UNTIL YOU SIGN THE DOTTED LINE!!! Go to BBB and FILE CLAIM!! I'm sure that will get their attention...
  3. Great looking bumper... I hope it works... I mean, I'm sure it will work with bed in down position. But looks like it may get the tires when bed is lifted. Probably not with stock sized wheel/tires.... But if yer building bumpers like that.... I don't see stock wheels/tires on yer ride for long
  4. No problem at all. Need to look out for each other... these toys arent cheap...
  5. Thats BAD!!! Here is a picture of the foam I used on the windshield....(in the frame) it was a door weather seal from Home Depot... But that was only ONE of the issues... The gasket that seals the roof to the roll cage may very well also be AN ISSUE.... The assembly teams are WEAK SAUCE!!! AND DON'T GIVE A CRAP ABOUT THE SEAL.... Not their rig DON'TCHA KNOW.... So I put this expandable foam tape between them.... MUCH BETTER NOW... I guess my question to you is.... Do you notice the leaking if it were to just sit in the pouring down rain? OR.... Does it leak like that only after driving it? Does it come out of the upper console? Because if I remember correctly, if it were the upper seal of the windshield, it wouldn't fill the console.... BUT.... if it is the roof seal???? It will run right into that cavity.... And with that much leaking.... I'm thinking you have a roof seal leak... NOT so much a windshield issue.... GOOD LUCK!!! Joe/Bear
  6. Can am service dept.../build shop..... Huh.... hey guys, you know where this defender bumper came from? Umm.... Nope!! Must be an extra...... ARE YOU F'N KIDDING ME?????
  7. RIGHT ON!!!! Glad I could help... That is a pretty obvious one..... Makes me wonder.... WHAT ELSE DID THEY FORGET???!! Really just SICKENS ME!!! Same with their service tech's. Hence the reason I bought my own buds system and do my own work on Bear... They are HACKS!!!!
  8. I wouldn't worry about them. Not enough mass to create a stoppage... I'm actually gonna add my poly skids under my aluminum panels.... not at all worried about the weight.... while I'm at it I think ill be adding rigid foam in the frame cavities between the floorboards and the bottom skids... hoping to help with heat and noise...
  9. Actually painted the panels in the front bumper black again for the offsetting look...
  10. Did yerz' not come with a front bumper??? That seems REALLY ODD!! Bear came with the first photos bumper... I upgraded to the second bumper...and then personalized all my tubing... (bumpers, rock sliders, and rack) by painting them with hammerite paint.... (antique pewter)
  11. VERY NICE!!! Black on black on black..... I LIKE IT!!! Now for a couple bumpers...
  12. I also have added these to Bear. Problem is.... the aluminum sticks to the snow when it's cold and the snow is up to the belly.
  13. Well, first off let me welcome you to the forum. You will find there are lots of great people with lots of information to share here.. Not sure about your uploaded files, but I couldnt open them... Again, welcome to the forum..... Joe & Bear
  14. If and or when yer axles give way.... Make sure which ever axle you go with is a double plunge axle. This will allow for more travel without effecting the CVJ.... By the way.... Love yer ride!!! This is Bear with his mach up lumber rack. I welded up a tube rack now... made it out of cyclone fence piping. Chopped up a gate for the radius corners and welded it together. Held down with the anchors that came with the game winch kit...
  15. Okay.... I misunderstood the original post... thought you were looking at the CanAm high clearance A-arms... But even so... I find it hard that a suspension part that lifts the rig 3" and doesn't affect the axle length or CV angle... Hell, the stock axles can't withstand 1000 miles under stock conditions... Id start looking for new axles now so when yerz POPS you know which direction your headed. I went SPENDY!!! Lifetime Gorilla axles under Bear... It was so bad when mine blew, no one had them in stock.... well, the right axle anyway... THE WEAK ONE!!! Hopefully that issue has been resolved... But like I've always said, " If you build them, THEY WILL BREAK!!" Stock suff runs forever... BUT IT'S BORING!!! Built stuff breaks... BUT IT'S FUN WHILE IT'S RUNNING!!! 😉 HAVE FUN!!! Joe
  16. I actually have the headache rack/bed extender that I've taken off to add my lumber/boat rack. Plus the game winch and in cab gun post that I've omitted in the process. You said spare tire.... are you on stock wheels? If so.... you will need to buy a front as a spare.... A rear wheel will NOT fit on the front due to offsets. I went with a full set of 5 (5+3 wheels) when I went to my 32×10×14's Good luck Joe
  17. I don't think so... Let me know in a year how DEEP YOU ARE.... LOL Stereo... more lights.... tires and wheels.... clutch kit..... sound deafening insulation.... lift kit..... the list pretty much never stops.... rear winch..... heated wheel/seats.... I think you'll find your initial investment WAS NOT your last.... HD Axles/CV joints...... IT'S ALWAYS SOMETHING... 😉 Joe & Bear.....
  18. Yes the switch is an ISSUE!!! My dealership SUCKS @$$ so getting it replaced under warranty was a joke!!! Just bought another and replaced it!! No more issues!!! Can Am warranty SUCKS!!!! Thank goodness they are pretty solid for the most part!! I've also got a GARBAGE VISCO LOK THEY WON'T COVER!! I heard that was even a recall... They are no different than others these days... Once they have your cash, YOU ARE DEAD TO THEM!!!
  19. To test the switch... just flip switch and use a test light to see if power hits the middle posts... I believe the bottom posts are the hot leads middle posts are low beam... and upper posts are high beams... My bet is FAULTY SWITCH!!! Others as well as myself have had switch issues... my switch happened to be a window switch... Good luck The entire panel that the light switch is in pops out.... allowing easy access to the back of that switch...
  20. Okay..... hold my beer!!! I may be wrong.... but the way they write the descriptions are VERY DECEPTIVE!!!! (That I know is CORRECT) But I believe the A-arms you are referring to do NOT lift the rig!!! What they do DO is arc the lower arms upwards CLOSER to the axle so as to GAIN "HIGHER GROUND CLEARANCE(Not rig, but A-arms)"..... But the belly of your rig stays the same.... Again, I may be wrong..... But that's how they were for my 2019.... Can Am is pretty SHADY THAT WAY!!!! Same with the side mirrors.... catalog states side mirrors...... but if you read closer..... it's because you can use it on either side.... (depending on attaching block) they can classify it as mirrors... but trust me.... YOU ONLY GET ONE!!!
  21. As stated above... These rigs are electronically fuel injected and do not require rejetting for altitude. Other than turbos and such the amount of O2 you get at 10k will be all that you have to work with. So the loss is real... That being said, your HD8 will be an HD8/5.6.... LOL Hopefully there won't be an HD10/7 there..... No matter what, I'M SURE YOU'LL HAVE FUN!!!
