  1. Handy Man Jack aka Hi-Lift Jack aka Farm Jack works great, doubles as a manual winch. Mine is a 60 inch jack mounted to the top rear horizontal bar of the roll cage.
  2. Thanks Andy, It went from just fine to not good at all seemingly instantly. as to: 1) I have not noticed any bulging or collapsing when I open the gas cap. 2) I also have not noticed the warning light come on. They showed me the parts and he did say that the belt was glazed. 3) cannot speak to that, hopefully they were competent 4) there were some grooves that could be felt, but I am in a very dry climate (less than 1/2 inch rain this winter so far) and I don't have any real creeks or rivers to cross, etc. The dealer where I bought it told me literally nothing about any of this. The dealer that did the repairs is much close to where the unit lives, and they told me about draining the guard if I think it got wet. It just seems all to delicate for a brand new and heavy duty unit like this. I am hoping the repaired rig will perform better, I know I will surely be extreeemely careful with it. I have joked about just leaving it in low range ...
  3. I have used this rig for a year and have 2,200 miles on it. One morning I woke and got ready to head out to hunt, and the rig started but it was as if the choke was on and it sputtered and would not run properly. We drove it close by the camp and it just would not get put of that choking-sputtering mode. I remembered that sometimes a gas cap can be an issue, maybe a vapor lock, whatever, but I opened the cap, closed it, and the rig started and ran fine. We put about 10 miles on it, and it sputtered again. Did the gas cap thing again, and it started and ran. It wasn't right however, and the check engine light came on I decided it was a sensor issue, some sort of vapor lock, some filter, something like that, and took it in for service which was due anyway. The dealer told me it was the secondary clutch. It had been driven poorly and not broken in right, and the clutch wheels were grooved and the belt was "glazed over". I was told that the sputtering was due to the rig going into limp home mode. I am here to tell you it would not limp anywhere. Had I not stumbled upon that gas cap idea, we would have been walking. Now I put dang near every mile on that rig, and I babied it. I put it in low gear on hills, and thought I had really taken it easy. I do carry lots of gear, and I often have a load of hunters and coolers, etc., but this thing is designed for six people with a payload in the bed that was never exceeded. I had to wait for two months for the part, which the dealer said is a sign that others may be having this issue. Has anyone else had this problem? This was supposed to be the biggest-baddest-toughest, and it doesn't seem that way so far. I don't think it is too much to ask a 6-seater to carry four men plus a cooler, and maybe a hog or two. Despite being just a year old and only 2,200 miles, it was not covered under warranty. Not real pleased at the moment and would welcome any input.
