  1. Mine springs are turned up to max to get max clearance and are fine. I had the Elka stage 1 on my Outlander and they worked much better than stock.πŸ™‚
  2. The fuel pressure should be at 51 psi, +/- 1 psi.πŸ™‚
  3. Go to the Can Am site and check the part numbers on the lone star vs the regular ones and if they are different you will have the correct answer.πŸ™‚
  4. My guess is that you have a loose connection to the battery, probably a corroded ground wire. If you have a volt meter check your battery first for 12.6+ volts first and if good start checking the cables and ground wires.πŸ™‚
  5. Back to the dealer, you should have 12.6-12.8 volts for a fully charged battery. My guess is you have a bad battery, a parasitic loss (wiring that's touching the frame) a faulty voltage regulator or a bad stator. You can check the charging circuit first by starting the machine and putting a DC volt meter across the terminals, you should see 13 -15 volts if you rev it slightly, if not check the wiring to the regulator to make sure its connected.πŸ™‚
  6. Welcome to the forum enjoy your new machine, there is a lot of info in the garage/builds section that may be helpful.πŸ™‚
  7. The fuse box under the front hood has a 40 amp fuse F10 off to the side and if the switch is not illuminated try removing the inside panel for the windshield wiper it may have its own fuse near the terminal block?
  8. I installed the high winch mounting kit on my 2019 XT Cab and initially used the removable winch mounting kit on the rear but I found it was too low for my liking and moved it up. My machine came with the factory winch in the lower location so I have front and back winches now and can still tow if I want to. Check out the garage/builds section on the front page, there is a description of the install and many other interesting posts. I installed the wiring from the kit to the rear and the extra switch in the dash.πŸ™‚
  9. I doubt that they will patch a sidewall but you might be able to put a tube in it?πŸ€”
  10. That's a tough one: fuel, ignition or wiring? The next time it stops open the fuel cap on the gas tank slowly and listen to see if it makes a sucking sound which might indicate a vacuum in the tank resulting from the the vent on top of the tank being plugged. Otherwise it may require a trip to the dealer.πŸ€”
  11. If you have access to a volt/ohm meter you could check to see if you have power to the actuator by following the procedure from the manual.πŸ™‚
  12. Check out the garage/builds section for what the rear winch might look like. I initially had mine on the bracket where you could switch it front to back but later moved it up above so I could still tow if I wanted to. I haven't needed to use the rear winch yet but maybe soon.πŸ˜‰
  13. Depends on where you drive, if you drop into a short hole they may help bridge the gap and provide enough traction to get out, but in the muskeg or deep holes sometimes a good winch isn't enough and if you are in deep water or muskeg and its cold you may not want to reach down to place it?πŸ€”
  14. The next time you hear the noise stop and loosen the fuel filler cap if the noise stops it is the pressure relief valve. A few threads on hear about where it is and how to fix it if you want to or take it to the dealer if its still on warranty. Other than the noise it is working correctly but sounds like a balloon when you pinch the neck and let the air out.πŸ™‚
  15. The picture is from the service manual: 2016 Defender series 2016 (219 100 834) and I bought the supplement Defender series 2018 (219 100 901). I bought these for my 2019 Defender XT cab HD10 from the dealer he ordered them for me. They may have discontinued the printed ones so you might see if you can find the BRP link on line in the owners section, I believe they are still available but in digital form only, Perhaps someone can provide you the link if they have it?πŸ™‚
  16. I haven't had to do trail side repairs on a Can am going way back to when they first came out. I carry some TireJect, an air compressor, some small hand tools to remove the clutch cover and change the belt, spare belt, screw drivers, hose clamps, electrical tape, axe, fire starter, small tarp, manual 4000 lb winch, extra rope and several coils of extra winch line for extension (trees don't always grow where you need them), first aid kit and most important a boost me kit; in case you kill the battery and extra fuel. I have a winch in the front and back, more info in the garage builds section. We travel on cut lines where it is unlikely anyone will come by. A few protein bars and water in case it becomes an overnight adventure. All of this fits in the Can Am tool box that fits in the bed behind the cab. Good luck with kit.πŸ™‚
  17. Hard to diagnose over the internet but many of the Outlanders and Defenders have a squeal which is the pressure release valve on top of the fuel tank releasing pressure when the gas tank gets warm/hot. To check this stop and open the gas tank fill cap when you next hear the noise and if it stops you have found the source. There are several threads in the garage section if you want to replace the valve? πŸ™‚
  18. You will probably be fine with the stock arms, welcome to the forum and check out the defender garage/defender builds section for all kinds of information while you wait for your new machine.πŸ™‚
  19. Might just check the oil level in the diff, it may be over filled?πŸ™‚
  20. I live north of the 49th parallel and we usually get a fair amount of snow. I have 30" Cryptids on and a bit of a lift and I can easily go through 18" and up to 24" of fresh snow, drifted snow is more difficult. Anything deeper and I use my skidoo. I have no use for tracks but others that use their machine for trapping or access to areas that have deeper snow do. Check out the builds section: forums, garage, builds for more good info including installs.πŸ™‚
  21. Check out the builds section in the garage forum, I have the EPI clutch setup but there is another one offered by Dalton that I may try. As you go larger and heavier tires your machine gets more sluggish and you spend more time in low range. The clutch kits change the bottom end response big time. I have the Monster EFI that works well as well as pin locker in the front, again all in the builds section.πŸ™‚
  22. Welcome to the forum, enjoy the new machine. A good place to start is on the home page forums, down to can am defender garage and than to defender builds, many write ups on builds and installs of accessories etc.πŸ™‚
  23. I mounted 30x10x14 Cryptids on the front and 30x11x14 on the back on stock rims (the 10" are a bit taller than the 11" but no noticeable effect in 4x4 and the extra width helps in the soft and deep stuff). The thread is on this forum go to the forums/can am defender garage/defender builds and 3rd from the bottom on page 1. There are other builds there with different types and sizes of tires that you may find helpful. Everyone has their own idea of what they want so no one choice is exactly the right one for you. Depending on your intended use highway/rocks/muskeg you can choose the tire you want and can run much lower tire pressures in the sand/muskeg etc to help with ride etc. I have posted my choice of clutch kit and the results, as well as reflashing the ECM for better response and power. πŸ™‚
  24. They should fit the rim no problem, I have the full fender flares and no problem, the odd time when you are turning sharply and are crossing deep ruts you may hear a very short rub but no sign or damage. Details are in this thread if you want to check it out.2019 DEFENDER XT HD 10 CAB LIFT AND 30" TIRES πŸ™‚
  25. The shims can be bought in different thickness so I suggest you buy a couple to save a trip.πŸ™‚
