  1. Well, not a BROKEN axle... But blown CV's... it was a front. And yes Andy... it's a can o worms... once we start modding them out they start to break other parts... I guess with the A arms.... I should have just gone AXLES TOO!!! And rears.... I'm sure it's gonna be a SMACK DOWN to get it covered.... But 200 hours??? 2000 miles +/- adjusted..... seems like they installed 1/2 ton axles in a ONE TON RIG...
  2. Well, first off, let me start with "I LOVE MY BEAR!!!" But for the PRICE??? BRP COULD USE BETTER PARTS!!! From their electronics to the running gear!!! Now sure a faulty window switch is one thing when they make it a PITA to make a claim on.... BUT IF THEY EVEN BALK at replacing an axle that didn't make 1700 miles/210 hours..... and 6 months..... We are gonna have issues!!! I've seen others with the window switch issue.... but has anyone else had an axle take a dump this early on???
  3. Okay now... Been here a bit now... 'The builds' I've yet to find. But... as for a non cab? WHY??? I PITY DA FOO that shows up with a non cab and wants to GET THEM SUM OF DA BEAR.... ESPECIALLY IN JANUARY!! 😉 Or May as far as that goes.... Electric windows, wiper/washer, stereo, heater..... Yeah, I'm good with the cab.
  4. Is that an OEM option for that model? If not that may be why no plug. I dont know, but maybe ask your local dealer. Good luck
  5. Bear wants to come play!! We don't haul like that... but we ARE TALL... 😉
  6. It may be that i was new to the side by side thing... But my first few rides around the property I did notice a bit of difference from my Outlander.... But nothing OMG!! I own a 19 Defender XT HD10 full cab now. After 1000 miles on stock wheels and tires I upgraded to 32" DOT Warriors.... I also added 2" forward A arms (which to a point were NOT needed with some slight mods to my extended flares) that have allowed my flares to go back to original position. (But they need some MORE EXTENSION... 😉 ) But most of all they have given me a MUCH SMOOTHER RIDE in total!! Just a couple more mods and I think it's time for a new project..... HORSEPOWER??? Saw a turbo kit that will add over 50% HP to the HD 10..... GET YOU SUM A DAT!!!
  7. I didn't go with the rears. Didn't want to lose GC over humpty bumps. Although i may see if they have a set of stock positioned rear arms. As it is now, or how it was before I spread the WB 2". I would case the tops of them, and the BRP rock sliders? WORTHLESS!! They look cool. BUT THATS IT!! The bottom of my ride is WASTED!!! Going to UPGRADE them!! Widening them in the front to match up with the flares and lowering them below the rig. But most importantly building them out of material that will STAND UP TO THE ABUSE!!! Rather than just look cool.... SHAME ON BRP!!!
  8. Pretty sure!! They move the wheel forward 2". I'd call them and check. But I'm pretty sure they are what you're looking for. Oh, and they are twice as BEEFY as the OEM arms
  9. Well, had some extra time and bought yet another grease gun. (Mini sized) and installed the A arms. LOVE THEM!! #superatv Rides smoother on the gravel roads. Seems to handle the corners a bit better without wanting to swap ends.. and the wooden wedgy is gone with PLENTY of clearance. Could have gone 34's if not for the rancher bumper. Oh, and it looks BAD @$$!!!
  10. This is just a cargo. It was pulled brhing my 30' RV. I buy my trailers NAKED!! As a builder of custom homes, I prefer using a spray in foam as insulation. It also helps hold the rig together. I've also added a flush mount floor drop in for a table. I actually used a plate for a boat seat. Nicer looking and heavier duty...
  11. I went with e-track at chair height and then just over 48" then bought 8 2x4 hangers so i could stack them with stuff above the Outlander. Then when he was out, I could make bunk beds out of them one just forward of the other to use as a seat at a table and a stair to the upper bunk. I'll look for pics. But im in the woods now, but when i get home I can get some for sure. Found some!! Then an inverter in an added tongue box and presto... an almost travel trailer
  12. I think the boat trailer is a GREAT EXAMPLE!! Because most will pump them up via a bearing buddy, until the grease comes OOZING out... Another reason could be that many boat trailers have smaller wheels/tires than our rigs and follow behind at full speeds... adding to the wear and tear on them. I'm not downing those that tinker... Heck!! I'M ONE OF THEM!!! Just not on my wheel bearings... lol
  13. I bought bear "full body armor". No chips in his glass. And he has a place to nap come winter time. "NAP" not "HIBERNATE" Not enough time to hibernate!! STUFF TO DO!!
  14. I get the truck not getting the abuse that the toy gets. But at 55 I've had many off road rigs. Some of which were dual purpose. Sure now my truck doesn't get used off road like bear does. But back in the day I never played easy on my toys and they held up fine. Sure i did maintenance but but the wheel bearings? That would have been like replacing a throwout bearing just because... I guess another thing that gets me is, heat causes things to expand. If you were to FILL the bearing with grease, where would the grease go when it heats up and expands? It would seem, out the seals. So if the grease works "out" the seal.... Wouldn't that allow material in through that same gap? Especially if it cools under water. Im sure if you ask a dozen guys about this, you will get a dozen if not more replies... If you go fishing, do you use the whole worm? Or half a worm? And if half a worm, which half is better??? Front half or back??? Synthetic (rubber) or real worm??? The list goes on and on....
  15. I own a 19 XT cab HD10. While it doesnt come with the MEGA SWAMPER tire package and lift. It allowed me to add my own lift and 32" DOT tires. A better option for me. But as far as getting me there? I've been in 'Bear' where only tracks had been. On tires... I thought about tracking him, BUT WHY??? BEEN VERY IMPRESSED with the performance.
  16. Although it's not a first class quiet ride, it did help. I added a 1/2" sticky back foam to the rear firewall of the cab as well as a rubber floor mat that resembles a horse trailer mat. I also added the foam to the roof. It also helps keep in the heat. I found the foam on Amazon. And by the way, WELCOME TO THE FORUM!! One other thing i did to help the dust... I added some window/door insulation to double the door seals as well as the windshield and rear window and any other gaps that could use filling.ll.
  17. I guess my thought to all is, How often do you relube your vehicles wheel bearings? The one you put lets say on average, 15,000 miles a year. Do you have ANYWHERE CLOSE to those numbers on your ATV? I think im gonna build a tire air exchanger. That way I dont have to run around tires with OLD AIR in them... 😉 Because lets face it, as we get older we run slower... Nice FRESH AIR in the tires and I'm sure I'll get another 10-15 HP.... ROFLMAO From this date forward I'm gonna do a test. I have just over 1500 miles on my Defender XT HD10 and have done nothing to my wheelbearings. So.... I will do NOTHING to mine and keep you up to date as per their ride... As soon as i notice any grinding i will let you all know.
  18. Andy and Toolboy both have great responses. I believe they both have shop manuals. One thing to note on the belt. A guy should really take care in seasoning the belt properly. Ride easy.... yet hard... after a few good rides on the belt ( heated and cooled, rode fast and slow...) replace it with another and keep the belt you just seasoned in the rig as a spare. Because if you think about it. When you burn a belt down.... where you gonna be? In a booger of a spot.... A new belt is NOT going to help... BUT.... That seasoned belt??? She's ready to go... HAVE FUN!!! These machines are driven/powered like snowmobile. And seasoning belts are required for extended lifespan. Although they are easier to replace in a snowmobile.
  19. It is tough going back to civilization. Ive got some tweaking to do to the 'Den' just like I did Bear. Mostly inversion issues. Gonna make all TVs, the coffee pot, and micro live on inversion. That way won't need to start geni for coffee or popcorn.... Other than a few manufacturering defects and the BRUTAL CRAFTSMANSHIP of the minimum wage workers putting them together. I do love it!! A HUGE UPGRADE from the Minnie Winnie and flat bed trailer.... 😉
  20. This one fits my 'Bear' just fine even at 85". He really wants to pull it as well. He's got HIGH HOPES!!! We call the hauler 'The Den' considering it's where bear goes to nap... NOT HIBERNATE!!!
  21. Unfortunately it only has a 78" door.
  22. I'll try it once more. I'm pretty mechanical but not so computerized.
  23. Are we talking all the way off to high beam? Or just going to high, then low, then high. And is that three highs and and finally back to low and then turn off? Tired of trying!! Gonna hit the dealer and make them clear it
