  1. I ONLY use non ethanol premium (91 octane) fuel in my HD8 with no issues. Good to hear you got yours fixed.
  2. I installed the Inferno Heater with the Seizmik soft doors on my HD8. The installation was super simple. Heats up within minutes with great toasty warm heat.
  3. Have you considered the Seizmik soft doors? I found a lightly used set on Craigslist for $600. I think they retail for $1000 here in the USA. Lifetime warranty. I live in Vermont and they have been great for keeping out the worst of the cold while plowing snow. I'll be adding an Inferno heater for next winter which should help even more.
  4. You would think that BRP could figure out an easier method than this, LOL.
  5. I totally agree with your statement. My local dealership has no Defenders in stock and is unsure of the availability.
  6. I picked up this 7X14 Alcom Stealth aluminum trailer which has a 84" interior height for $6200 in April just when Covid was making things hard to get. The price has since jumped to $8500...Ouch!
  7. I plowed snow for the first time recently with my HD8. It exceeded my expectations. Yes, I agree that the $3500 difference wasn't worth the extra 200 cc's.
  8. I got some Dickies low back bucket seat covers on clearance at WalMart for $20. They are a rugged fleece type material.
  9. Yes, my 2020 HD8 is set up this way.
  10. How about some pics of your rig. "Defunder" made me chuckle...
  11. I'll find out soon enough. 2020 Base model HD8 with 72" Moose plow. Vermont winters can be long and brutal.
  12. I found a nice used 72" Moose snow plow on Craigslist for cheap money. I then ordered a KFI mounting plate from Amazon for $18 and welded tabs that fit the Moose push arms. My total investment is less than $300.
  13. I find that my HD8 runs waaaaaaay too lean. I'm guessing to meet EPA emissions requirements. Wondering if there might be a tuner available that can adjust the fuel map. Sorry, this doesn't answer your question. I hate giving money to the dealership service department but in this case maybe you can bring it in for a proper diagnosis and then complete the work yourself.
  14. Yes, when you take it out of "park" the lock icon goes away.
