  1. I was reading through this again and noted your issue with squealing rubber pads as well as them rubbing off the paint. I actually wrapped those areas with gorilla tape. Never had an issue again.... Not sure what your rattling is all about though... Good luck
  2. Okay boyz!!! Here we go again!!! It's huntin' season. Starting with spring bear and turkey. So..... DRIVERS...... START YOUR ENGINES.... IT'S GAME TIME!!! Starting April with 1010 miles... READY GO!!!
  3. Well, as a retired home builder I have my share of lower back pain. I thought in the beginning sitting that upright would be CRAZY!!! But after a few 6 hour/100 mile days, those worries were put to rest. I sure hope you find something that works for mama... Happy wife, HAPPY LIFE!!
  4. Right on!!!! And WELCOME TO THE FORUM!!! Ican almost remember my first 8 hours.... lol... 150 plus with over 1000 miles. Got mine basically last November. Thinking by this time next year, Bear will have nearly 5000 miles on him... I LOVE MINE TOO!!!!
  5. Most of the damage was busting trails in the snow. Rolling over humpty bumps and coming down on BOULDERS!!! Like I said, rule #1: PRE CHECK ALL HUMPTIES!!! The one divot on the drivers side nearly made it to the floor.
  6. I've got over 1000 miles on mine. Never had any back pain.
  7. So here ya go.... lets just say, from here on out rule #1 is ALWAYS CHECK THE HUMPTY BUMP!!! One other thing.... JUST THINK HAD THEY NOT BEEN THERE AT ALL..... 😒 😒 😒YIKES!!!! The fourth picture is hard to see, but the tube is ABOVE the bottom of the rig.....
  8. Me too!!! BUT THERE IS NO WAY I'D TAKE MY LIMITED LONGHORN WHERE I TAKE BEAR.... SPOILED I TELL YOU!!! πŸ˜‰ BTW...I dont have AC... 😒 So I guess not that spoiled
  9. Well, what you will find on forums especially. Is that 6" isn't always 6". Lol..... But to answer that is that every rig is DIFFERENT. One guy could run a full 30lbs in their tires.... where another runs @ 10lbs maybe..... Big difference in gearing/speedo. Then, depending on where your speedo needle is positioned. (Does it pin itself down@zero or just float....) although yours is a 20? With NO needle? You'll hear one say his rig knocks and rattles... where another has no issues... (the latter being me) Are they BOTH using the same fuel? Clear fuel? Race fuel? Unleaded pump fuel? ALL will produce HUGE performance differences. I guess the moral to my story is, be careful of what you read on the internet... ;-)
  10. First off, let me start by welcoming you to the forum. I hate to say it, but if your dealer "thinks" it's your tires???? I'd be looking for a new dealer with more knowledge. OFCOURSE the tires are the issue!! Just like changing the tire size on a pickup, adding to the circumference of the tires WILL CHANGE the gearing as well as speedo/ odo.... Im not sure of the changes yet, but plan on swapping over soon. At that point i will cross referece my onboard GPS with the speedo. A couple on here have put 32's on theirs already, im sure they will chime in and let you know what they have encountered. And again, WELCOME TO THE FORUM!!
  11. I will take some pictures of mine tomorrow in the light. I do also want to say, while I don't Baja "Bear". I do drive him to his FULL POTENTIAL!! I have over 1000 miles/150 hrs on him and overall he and his additional parts have been up to the task!! I think looking back though, some of the aftermarket parts would be more suitable for true TRAIL RIDING rather than just PIMPING OUT MY RIDE owners....
  12. DO!! Now I only have a two door. But from what I gather, i would add a piece about 18" or so.... under each door....Thinking about it a little more..... I may want to add them to the outside. Reasoning..... I get snow build up between the sliders and cab already. So closing down that area may be detrimental to other things....
  13. Right on Okie!!! Looks good!! I guess I'm pretty spoiled. But I really like my full cab. I mean heck, I added foam in cracks to get rid of dust and dirt. πŸ˜• You guys have window nets.... It's okay guys, CALL ME A WUSS!!! LOL LOOKING GOOD!!!
  14. Well, I will say, OEM sliders....... NOT ENOUGH!!! Both sides of mine are bent to the skids.... Easy to install, and look cool. But PROTECTION??? NOT ENOUGH!! I may bend mine back straight and add a piece of 1.5" angle to the back side below the doors. Or maybe get a piece of tubing that i can double up that area with. But the wall thickness of the OEM sliders is....... can you guess??? ....... you got it..... NOT ENOUGH!!! 😒
  15. Gotcha... wondering if mine does this and i just dont hear it due to all the sound deafening ive done to the inside of the rig... if it were a baffle in the pipe it would make the sound indefinitely while running. I would think anyway
  16. I second the WELCOME!!! I have a '19 HD10 full cab and have had no whistling... While mine did seem a little rough in the lower power range, I never heard any grinding. I bought mine in late Oct. and have over 1000 miles/150 hours on him
  17. Is yours a solid window? Or the split OEM
  18. I actually got a 3'x4' recycled rubber door mat from home depot that i used as a floor mat. Helps channel the water you track in rather than make the floor all muddy and slimy... and some rubber window seal tape to fill all the smaller cracks like around the rear of the cab at roll bar. As well as doubling the windshield and door gaskets to cut down on the dust billowing in.... i also pulled my headliner and foamed the roof.
  19. Right on... While those look like an economical way to get a full door. I really like my OEM doors with power windows and dual walls. With my windows down I would have to think its like a half door. I also like that I can crack the window just a bit as well. Qhen i bought my Defender it was a full cab edition so im not sure what they cost as a separate purchase. But I would have to think more than 1500. What I would do is get 1/2"thick sticky back foam via amazon and cover your rear firewall and the inside of tose doors to kill some extra road/engine noise...
  20. I have had the same experience as you. Actually at 1000 mile mark had some Razor guys note how well they looked. They do pretty well, but 32's are in our future for sure.
  21. Down below the text screen is a "click to choose files" button. Find the picture file and add it. Did you have to go with a 2" forward front A-arm kit?
  22. AWESOME!!! Can't wait to see!!
  23. I also added an auxiliary battery. Sits behind the cab under the bed. The problem is.... the 550 amp charging system.... (the 2020's come with an 850 amp system) So, to combat the issue, I don't use my OEM lighting system at all off road. ALL my forward led's use only 2 amps more the the OEM's AND THEY ARE CRISPER CLEANER AND BRIGHTER!!!! But on the road they are OVERKILL!!
  24. Right on!!! My 22" pointed straight ahead and directly behind are plenty for me running around in the woods. With the 8" lights over the A-pillar pointed outward a bit make it PERFECT for seeing those blind corners... then, with the 15" (I think they were) mounted up EXACTLY where the upper door bolts are. So off to the side is great on the fly or when the doors are open and the back light is on too..... you could use it to light up 3&4 at your local dirt track!!! Getting 32"ers and a blinker kit for it this week hopefully. Then it's off for turkeys and bears!!! Season opens the first. B-)
