  1. I’m going to go and look again. Take a measuring tape and a few pics, to make sure.
  2. These tracks are quite good in the trails. We were in a foot of wind blown snow on the lake, then riding through a narrow trail that had been cleared. And by cleared I mean the logs and trees were in the middle of the trail. Went over the logs no problem... like a Sherman tank!
  3. On deep snow, for sure, locked. On groomed trails, you could probably go unlocked...I’ll try it and let you know! We have added a few things too. Hence the name, DeFunder. I have tried it locked and unlocked. In low range, when doing steep trail work, locked. Deep powder locked. On hard pack unlocked. I think the manual said locked. Or maybe I saw it on YouTube , lol
  4. Went to the dealer to have a look and I can see the problem... Gear rail is going to hit it. need it moved back about 2”
  5. I have it in 4WD and diff lock is ON. I would only switch it off if we are on pavement. If its off, you will tend to get stuck, when its deep.
  6. I am getting a DPS Module on Tuesday. BRP website says 715004707 "coming soon" ... for two months. The 715004707 subs to a newer part number, which is 715007338. ( Website shows its for ATVs, and its cheaper, but in doing more research, it looks like it is going to work) I am looking forward to putting it on, and seeing proper speeds, as well as steering effort changes. For those that have the module, I wonder if it allows the power steering to adjust to different levels? Or does it do it automatically... the 4707 said you had to have a button for the DPS to get the three different levels of steering assist... Its not bad without the module, so I won't be too bummed if it doesn't do anything... the speedo and odometer correction will be welcome...
  7. The panel where the switches are located, (and key switch) will pop out. putty knife from the top will push tabs in, and then it pops out. bus bar is right there, ready to be used
  8. It goes pretty good in the snow! I didn’t want to get any static from our snowmobile club, so I put tracks on it, to use the trails. Not as fast as a sled, but great for puttering around the back country!
  9. I too have seen those wires, and wondered what they were for... Unfortunately I saw them after removing the floorboards, and other parts to install a horn, light bar and later heated seats... I think what’s odd is no instruction sheet ever mentions them. and I think there’s a similar bundle in the floor. If I knew about them, and how they’re to be used, I could have wired up so many projects in the time the instructions allot for each accessory. Glad I’m done with it now...trying to find flat black fasteners that I’ve dropped in a black interior, lol.
  10. No idea. I don’t have the DPS Module (yet). I can get over 6000 rpm on flat hardback. i “cruise “ at 5500 I think it might be around 30-35 mph please speed?
  11. yes its somewhat hidden.. I had to remove the switch panel / ignition. It helps to remove if you use a putty knife. The Corbin Switch website has a good set of instructions on how to remove it.
  12. Bus Bar that’s ignition controlled is under the dash, right in the center. you need to run a pair of wires from there to the roof to power your lights. Run it up the front A pillar. Put in a fuse block... I think there is a wiring kit in the parts catalogue. eBay seller has matching switches.
  13. So I am looking at adding the OEM Snorkel kit to our 2020 HD10 XT MAX Defender... Of course, we have the wiper washer kit, and the Gear Rail.. Need both, unfortunately... I would really like to install it, but before I buy it, I am wondering if anyone has installed this with the aforementioned accessories.. Running tracks right now, and it would be great to get all of this out of the way, and up high... not a need, but a want... I have already got the relocation kits installed for CVT and Air, but through that it would be better up high. I realize I may have to give up the gear rail, but can't see specifically where the issue lies... Moving the wiper bottle might be a bit challenging, but its probably not a big deal. Thanks all!
  14. There is another instruction sheet you need to download to set up the anti rotation arms. I do t have part number but if you read the mounting instructions it will tell you the sheet number
  15. https://www.can-amforum.com/threads/2020-defender-max-xt-hd10-muffler-buckle.135245/ Looks like it’s sort of a common problem?
  16. I have been running mine at 75% throttle-100% with tracks on and fully expected something like this to happen, but it hasn’t. I am pretty sure they’ll warranty it for you!
  17. I will see if I have photos. Machine is not close by... I know that there is an instruction sheet that you have to download, for the final adjustment of tracks. If I had access to it when I did the install, it would have made more sense. This might help: ATV SSV adjustment instruction sheet 487802938.
  18. No idea why these pics are upside down, lol
  19. Robert J if you don’t have a rear window, that might be the case... I have the clear vinyl window, and rear pax don’t complain.
  20. If you unplug this plug, it’s a weather pack type plug, it plugs into the 3 prong BRP remote.
  21. I think you can leave the module in. Removing it is pretty easy though... CVT inlet should be moved, other fills up with snow Can you please post a close up pic of the inside of the front of your tracks? I am interested in seeing the anti rotation spring set up. I just installed the same kit, but the instructions aren’t clear on the set up of that mechanism. thank you!
