  1. I believe it will fit. The wiper motor is below where the radio would fit. I put in a full headliner 715003098 for the front, and 715006391 for the rear. I have my backup lights, and overhead light mounted I got it because it hides all the wiring and tubing. If you look, the front headliner has the cutouts for speakers and where a stereo would mount.
  2. Translation: hello I no longer have spark plug ignition even though all the components are good...
  3. Interesting… I run tracks for 4 months of the year at 3600-5000’ ft Leaning towards a turbo, but wondering about the carnage it could cause ? $5K for a turbo kit…
  4. I was going to suggest removing the hinge pin, but it looks like those hinges are different than the hard half doors. Send a pic of hinges? Looks like they just lift off, once door is open? Im curious too, I need full doors for winter, these would be ideal..
  5. I think you’ll benefit more from a turbo…
  6. Mounted, and works well. Fits cage profile perfectly. I will likely turn the extinguisher around 180° so that the gauge doesn’t get ripped off in the trails.
  7. Warn 103950 should work, call Warn to verify Uses Bluetooth to connect with your phone. I didn’t want to wait, so I just ended up getting the Can Am wired remote and connected under the hood. It’s the cheapest accessory from Can Am, lol.
  8. Warn makes a nice one that will work with that winch...
  9. I have the front windshield, and the Can AM deflectors, as well as the Can Am rear window, but its just the roll up, one made of flexible vinyl. It helps a lot! Once I figure out the winter configuration, I might put a better window in, but for now, this one is fine...
  10. I will look into that, I have always had manuals for most toys, this one is the most complex yet. I don't own a trailer for it, so I will be doing most if not all of the work on it, until I do. I downloaded and printed off all the instructions for everything I installed, and also saved onto an iPad... no internet where we are. Next service to complete is an oil change. First I have to clean it, its a bit muddy...
  11. Got it done. Once I dropped the headliner, I could see the wiring in place for it. I could see where the headliner had a mark showing where to run the wire. Thanks for the pics, always appreciated. BD
  12. Thank you! That helps alot! I was fortunate a year ago to call every dealer in BC, and nobody had stock of what I was looking for. Last phone call, found the only unit in BC, and 1 of two in Canada, before everything shut down because of COVId19… it was a year ago I picked it up. There still aren’t many for sale. Our only regret was, at the same time we should have bought an equal $ amount of BRP shares.
  13. I have the OEM interior light, that I want to install. Where on the headliner does it mount on a Limited MAX? Not wanting to have it in the wrong spot... I have the roof wiring kit installed, and the headliner, but not sure where they put it on the units from the factory. If you could supply a pic, that would be great. TIA, BD
  14. Or you could wire it up under the dash, to the power bar that is already there. Saves trying to go through the "firewall", especially if none of the accessories are headed in that direction. See that bundle of wires (white/striped) that are to the right? I think that are already passed through the firewall, and if you look under the instrument panel, I believe you'll find the other ends there. And if you take up the centre of the floor board, some are down there. best thing to do is get a test light or continuity tester, to check... if the size of the wire is the correct gauge, it might save you a lot of time! Garmin also makes a gadget like that called the PowerSwitch. similar to SPOD, etc, but smaller, and smarter (and less $).
  15. I ended up getting one of the Dragon fire mounts from FortNine. It was a bit of $, but cheaper than getting one out of the US and dealing with all of the border hassle. It also mounts to the profile of the roll cage, for the defender. If the fit is good, i'll likely order a second one. Still debating mirrors. Between fender flares and mirrors, I need flares more.. but either one will likely get removed by an unforgiving tree on the tight trails we always seem to find ourselves on, lol.
  16. Try it in low range and high range. 2 WD and 4WD locked and un locked might help isolate it low speed work, I always use it in work mode, and low range
  17. Usually 12 v is hot all the time. 12V acc is on only when the engine is running or key is in Acc position. Does the switch panel have a lit switch? that’s usually what the second power wire is for. pic of said switch ?
  18. I am looking at these ATV Tek mirrors, the Elite series 1 universal that will mount to the profiled a pillar. Has anyone tried them? they look well made, and mounting to the pillar appeals to me more than mounting to a door, and they’re a bit higher, too, and can be moved up or down I am also looking at the Elite Fire extinguisher mounts that they have as well. Same question, wondering if anyone has anted up and mounted one (or two)? That is all, no further questions! pics because we all like pics, right?!?
  19. I have the same light on my truck. 20” single row. I have driven my truck on the Coquihalla Highway ( Highway through Hell tv series), using the Rigid light bar only. 70+ mph and you cannot overdrive the light. It’s more that adequate for the Defender. You need to balance light output as well as any other accessories, and what the alternator puts out In my case 4 heated seats, heated wheel, lights, heater, etc and in the winter -5 to -30°C we use it a lot! Rigid 360 round lights were just coming on the market but this one was available quicker, and used less energy I’ll probably take the light bar off my truck and add it later, but only because I would like all of my LED lights on my truck to be SAE approved
  20. 10” Rigid Combo ( spot /flood) and two Rigid Dually diffused out back. Rigid Chase light coming soon.
  21. What do your front anti rotation springs look like? Do they look like these?
  22. I have one of the Can-Am LED Interior lights for a Defender (DeFunder) MAX. The interior headliner kit is installed, and I am wondering where this light is supposed to go. The Roof wiring kit is installed, so just curious where on the headliner this thing mounts.... Pics are helpful! TIA, BD
  23. Over the years, having owned motorcycles, snowmobiles, lawnmowers, trucks, cars, and just a few boats... its not the oil that causes engines to lock up, transmissions, drive units, or diffs to fail.. its the lack of oil that causes problems... just remember, that when you go off what's recommended, you may become your own warranty repair depot!
  24. Go to the accessories site for can am. get par number for cab heater, and plug it into the instructions site.
  25. Maybe pull the floor board cover that runs down the centre of the cab.... see if there is something leaking or has leaked down there. The radiator tubes run along there.and when they get hot, it could generate the antifreeze smell. Once the cover is off, wash it out with hot water, and dish soap, to make sure there's no residue. Antifreeze doesn't evaporate very fast, so maybe there is a pool of it somewhere... And make sure your pets are kept away while you do this... antifreeze is toxic...
