Has anyone experienced their muffler bulging? from the rear it looks like the muffler was creased. When you inspect it you can clearly see it has almost doubled in size.

I need a picture of the muffler, even if the exhaust was partially or completely plugged the amount of pressure required to expand a muffler would kill the engine before the pressure could be produced.

Is the engine running okey?🙂

I uploaded pictures. the crease was created by the expansion.

I have been running mine at 75% throttle-100% with tracks on and fully expected something like this to happen, but it hasn’t.
I am pretty sure they’ll warranty it for you!

It is a known problem, it has happened to my Defender and there is a bulletin on it. it will be replaced under warranty.

from what i understand it is a factory recall on the mufflers. the catalytic converter is also in the muffler and welded incorrectly. mine did the same and was just replaced under warranty. only a defender issue. hope this helps
