  1. Stock defender base/dps/xt will fit 28s and u can tighten ur shocks up a touch for another inch of ground clearance and better handling qualities... not as super silky as factory shock setting but really made the handling way more responsive with just 2 clicks of tightening and it gave my hd10 max 1 inch of lift and got rid of alot of body roll u feel when running down roads
  2. It pulls my little nitro great I also have a nice 42 acre subdivision lake just up the road from me that my family lives by and they get lake pass stickers once a year and they dont fish so looks like I'm the lucky guy that gets to slip in there I believe I'll be using the defender from time to time to put the boat it and out of but a 21 footer on a steep ramp may be a lil much ... but I wouldn't put it past it ! May even make it look easy ha ha these defenders impress me with how capable they are every time I get in it !
  3. Not knocking can-am at all but sounds like they should pay more attention to hardware packaging because when I ordered my defender from my local dealer they had to go pick it up from another dealer here in our state and when they picked it up it was still in the shipping container and when they opened it up to assemble everything they discovered no hardware kit ! So few more days and can-am got the hardware to them ... not the biggest deal but inconvenient for sure
  4. finally had a break in the rain long enough for the dog and I to get the nitro outta the back shed ... time to start gettin it ready for the crappie bite... our family crappie trip this year is to pickwick lake ... with the few warmer days we've had I'm starting to get excited about it ... most the family focuses on crappie but at pickwick I may get a lil side tracked and try to catch some smallies since it's not a common fish for us in central Missouri
  5. Directly under passenger seat look at the floor panel moldings... the panel on the back wall pops into place ull see small icons marked on the panel indicating battery ... pop it off and bam ! Theres ur battery .... if u have a max model it's in same location just under the back seats
  6. The glass is definitely awesome my cousin has the can-am glass tilt on his XT and it works great and his brother had a glass windshield on his polaris 900XP crew and put it threw hell and back for years and never had an issue ......till a little to much whiskey one night and we all learned that rangers cant move oak trees and a glass windshield isn't shatter proff if ur head tries to go threw it ha ha
  7. Super atv ..... even the hook up assembly is included with the bumper and best part is it was 299.99 and its solid ...and was quite easy to install
  8. I've had mine for 4 months but it's made it 1050 miles with no issues what so ever very good built machines
  9. Super atv ..... even the hook up assembly is included with the bumper and best part is it was 299.99 and its solid ...and was quite easy to install
  10. And Rudy if ur definitely leaning towards a tilt out, Super atv also sells a full tilt hard coat polycarbonate for 625 ... can am makes excellent accessories and I have installed many especially there exclusive ones but with just a lil research and snooping around on the beautiful world wide web theres quite a few accessories u can buy for half the price that are as good and some cases better ur just not paying for that sweet can am logo stamped on the item ha ha
  11. To be honest haven't had the defender during hot days ... bought it new October 19 so I've had it just under 4 months ... we've played with the vents and it seems like they allow very good airflow ... the biggest reason I bought a vented windshield is to reduce dust suction in the cab with a roof and rear window ... the vents allow airflow to be pushed outta the cab when open rather than to be sucked in to swirl around on those dusty days on the gravel or riding with multiple machines on the back roads
  12. For a windshield on more of a budget u can't beat the super atv vented hardcoat poly windshield... I've put that windshield threw its paces for a 1000 miles so far and here in Missouri its definitely had a life of limbs and branches rubbed and scraped on it even installed 2 hand powered windsheild wipers and that dam thing dosent have a scratch in it ... it dosent tilt but has 2 large vents at the bottom that u can open and close ... and for 325 bucks it's a hard windshield to beat
  13. A lil off topic but I cant help but notice u have the can am soft doors of ur rig mark... I about to purchase a set soon for mine can u post a pic or with ur doors on .... and is there anything u dislike about them ... just curious on how well they latch and if they seal up halfway decent when closed ... I do realize there soft doors and not looking for a perfect air tight seal or I woulda bought a cab model ... for the winter I think they would be ultimate for keeping us a lil warmer ... I dont need a cab heater but may slide a buddy heater in the there with us ... my only concern at all on them is puncturing them with a branch or something in the woods around here but chance I'm willing to take and if all else fails and the were to get tore up on something I figure with the steel frame latch and hinges from them wouldnt be to bad to cover them with something else aluminum sheeting or something along those lines
  14. My 2018 defender max came with 6 ply bighorn 2.0 ... never heard of or seen an 8ply bighorn ... I'm curious how urs had 8ply on it from factory ... I've been looking all over and cant find any answers
  15. I hope they replace the visco lock with the smart lock on all defender models and a XT-P max would be sweet
  16. Looks great ! So does ur machine heres a few pics of my light bar set up
  17. It was a cool -7° here in central Missouri this morning ha ha ... over -25° windchill in some areas ... but hasn't stopped us from riding just not as far as usual... for 12 bucks each we got some 12v DC powered seat warmers that really do the trick for keeping ur butt warm on a cold ride ...actually work way better than expected
  18. My cousin and I both experienced it on our hd10 max's.... started at about 20 hours for both of us ... but we live in central Missouri with extreme valleys we run.. so we use our breaks a little heavier than most ... havent messed with it yet just goin to replace with a better brake pad when there ready to be replaced ... if anyone has fixed the squealing I would also love to know what u went with to fix it
  19. I dont know about can-am but my cousin traded in his ranger 800 crew for his hd10 max ... but while he had his polaris it blew up during his extended warranty that he paid for ... and after taking it to the local dealer ship to be rebuilt or replaced they sent samples of the oil to Polaris to be tested and although it came back good oil the called for weight and serviced as it shoulda of been it was not polaris brand oil so Polaris denied warranty on it and they stuck it up his a** ... so he outta pocket paid for a rebuilt motor swapped it at home and traded it in on the right decision... so until my warranty is up I'll be runnin can-am brand threw everything no matter the cost
  20. So u did get it working properly as it should or u still having problems? .. and when u run direct from bus bar ur accessories will run with out the key being on ... if u notice in the pics I posted of my switch panel when I turn the key to the on position it lights the bottom section of my switches.. thats because I spliced and ran those jumper wires from a key on hot wire to the key on power prong of my switches .... if my key is off and I flip a switch on only the top half of my switch lights up and the accessory turns on ....
  21. I agree with mark and dont think anyone could have done better explaining there thoughts on that... I would do that exactly as he said... and if u still cant figure it out ... pitch it ! No one likes a hoarder lol ! Get ya 2 rolls of 14 gauge wire one red one black some heat shrink connectors , a good set of multi use electric pliers and a sweet 5 prong rocker switch ... start cutting crimping and and runnin wires ... not to many more things more satisfying than hooking up that last connection on the back of ur switch that uve ran and made and flip the switch to gods light on the front of ur defender ! .... I can think of a few more satisfying things but I'll keep it G rated for everyone ha ha
  22. If u can take pics of the switch and back of switch and and possibly the harness than maybe be able to help I've wired all my lights direct to the back of the switch and cut and crimped all my wiring to length no harnesses cause I didnt want to run into confusion... cause I'm no electrician by any means.. but the 5 prong switches are super straight forward with the wiring diagram sent with ... ground . Power in . Power out . And optional key power on for dual led switches ..... the pics below are key on and accessories on
  23. To correct my self on these kc hilites cyclones they are 1100 lumens each not 550... they have been working awesome the garage pics do not do them justice outside at night they are the ultimate reverse lights for there small factory clean style
