How's it going guys?

I'm brainstorming some ideas and would like some input.

I bent a tie rod recently and the ball joints need replacing on my 2017 HD8 (62" machine I believe).

My buddy can give me a great deal on his brand new takeoffs arched A-arms (mine aren't arched currently) with ball joints & tie rods from his 2022 HD-10 (64" machine I believe).

I'll need to replace my current front axles to the 64" models to make the upgrade work.  Anything else?

Is having a 64" front and 62" back a bad idea?  How will it affect handling and stability?

Thanks for any input.

I wouldn't think that the wider front end will be noticeable when driving. You could put spacers on the back to help widen the stance and wider tires on the stock rims, but I wouldn't unless having your buddies keep reminding you that the front is wider is a problem.

The bigger problem is getting the right front axles to work with that combination. FWIW
