Front differential lock pin will not disengage for axle installation. Does the vehicle have to move “wheels” to operate after switch is pushed?

I don't understand the question: I have a thread in the builds section about removing and installing the front axles and there is no locking pin? You just give the axle a good tug to remove and to install you carefully push it through the gasket you have circled and give it a real strong shove inwards, you may have to rotate it slightly so that it isn't spline on spline. The actuator is before the diff so the axles turn with the wheels all the time even in 2 wheel drive if the diff is stock.🙂
