  1. Grew up on a Honda TRX200 quad in beautiful New Braunfels, TX. Welcome! -Mark
  2. GWS7570 - my problem was completely different: the switch fell apart internally with broken pieces of plastic and springs going everywhere when it was removed. As it was failing, it made a crunching sound. Cheap Chinese-sources plastic switch. -Mark
  3. Really like that blue. Welcome! - Mark
  4. Recently upgraded to these. Installed both sides in about 20 min. MUCH quieter (no more descent squeal), and a slightly better pedal feel. Thought about going with braided lines as well, but the stock ones actually look pretty robust. - Mark
  5. Same here. Sounds like it’s coming from the front/right/passenger side when I turn LEFT. Just an annoying rattle. I’ve jacked it up and rubber-hammered everything. CV, maybe? -Mark
  6. I chuckle now, but last year I actually had a slight twinge of buyer’s remorse over my 2019 XT Cab when I saw the 2020 models the very next month. Not any more!
  7. After one year of ownership the black plastic doors on my 2019 XT Cab turned very gray due to sun exposure here in Colorado. They looked terrible. The top began to fade too. Sorry - I didn’t take a BEFORE picture, but here’s how I fixed it for $10.99 from my local Can Am dealership: Good luck! - Mark
  8. We’ve got to go back to the original reason we bought a Defender in the first place, friends. Seriously, outfitting these rigs with AC is like putting an elevator in an outhouse. I feel lucky to have heat. I’d pay CASH for a set of trouble free crank windows. 3 position mode switch? Keep it. But AC in a Defender that actually gets used? It’s like putting an ACOG scope on a hammer. - Mark
  9. Welcome! My people are all from Minden, LA - always accused of being “Southern AR”..! 2019 XT Cab here in Colorado Springs. Take care! - Mark
  10. Hey Andy - I'm there at 120 hours or so. Any update on a zerk count? I found about that many, but didn't count. I'll go back and do it again to be sure. Thanks - Mark
  11. Oh, he's at it again. Note to Self: if I ever need a used Defender, I know the one I'm going to be after! Once again, just plain awesome, man. - Mark
  12. QUICK UPDATE - I reported the faulty switch to my local dealership and they know about the problem. However, they WILL NOT cover it under warranty unless you bring in the Defender for a diagnosis. Then they "apply to have it covered" under warranty. This immediately gave me nightmares/flashbacks from my 2011 Polaris Ranger 800XP engine debacle (44 hours, detonated a meticulously maintained engine, 12 week fight, and I eventually got a brand new machine - but quickly got out it while it ran and smelled new). I offered to bring in the switch and prove its inoperability with a multimeter ("What's a multimeter?" - I kid you not, friends) because I don't have access to a tow vehicle just now a they declined the offer, re-stating that they wanted the whole Defender in the shop. Finally, I bought a switch at www.canampartsguy.com and ate the $88.00 (parts + shipping). If anyone knows of a quality aftermarket replacement, preach on! - Mark
  13. Friends, I just had the same thing happen to my 2019 XT Cab: driver-side window button became intermittent and got worse and worse until it finally quit working altogether. Definitely not a fuse, but a failing switch. I'm going to cruise the sites and look for an upgrade - and then replace all three in the cab. It seems that this is a known problem, and warranty WILL replace it. I'll let you know what I find. - Mark
  14. Thought I’d share a response I got from Can-Am (via Instagram) about the mystery “G” symbol alongside the Park indicator. Per the owner’s manual there can be an L, G, or S there. I guess the L and S mean “Gear” in another language? Not per Google Translate as far as I can tell. Anyone in the US see anything besides “G”? Canadian friends: what do you see. Australia? -Mark
  15. 2019 Camo XTCab HD10... 145 of my own miles + 440 from the shop (I bought the demo model) = nearly 600 miles and ZERO problems. I could nitpick a few things (door out of alignment, broken winch line), but mechanically and operationally it’s been perfect. -Mark
  16. Yes - that entire bank of 5 switches will pop out, easily. Just don’t do it if your machine is cold. There are tabs that you can pry past with a flat edged tool (big screwdriver worked for me). The material is relatively soft, so you can pry it as long as it is warm. If it’s cold you run the risk of snapping the tabs. -Mark
  17. Sorry - not that I have found. I didn’t go this route. Back up lights only for me. -Mark
  18. Yes - 516 lumens. They are the KC Cyclones. One guy on this forum was able to rig up his brake lights to blink. That seems to me a better solution. However if you can get one of these KC cyclones to blink… You will certainly get noticed!
  19. www.cheaperthandirt.com doesn’t sell a locking cap, but they do sell rock salt shot and those non-lethal bean bag riot loads. Just sayin’. I grew up in South TX where there are purposely not laws for certain things because they understand that it takes the town to raise a kid. Rock in the fuel tank... yeah, right. Hold my beer. -Mark
  20. You are not alone here. I live on mostly uneven ground so it typically goes into/out of Park just fine. But, when I bring it into the level garage I notice that it goes into Park “soft” and the “P” dash indicator doesn’t come on every time - despite it being all the way up into the Park notch on the shifter gate. Exactly the same as your problem. My “hack” has been to get out and rock the machine slightly (with the key on) until the P indicator pops on, and then all is well. I once got the machine stuck high-center on a snow mound and, foolishly, shut it off without the “P” indicator showing on the dash - no way to rock it and the starter would was locked-out as a result. My daughter and I shoveled for a long time... it’s not an issue if you know what you’re doing, but I’m waiting for my wife to call me one cold night about a dead machine and I’ll have to tell her to “get out and shove it a bit” so that the Park sensor on the flywheel lines up with a tooth (or whatever the heck the logic is)! -Mark
  21. No flag or whip for me. I will probably just mount one to the back bumper if I take it to the dunes. -Mark. PS - great color, love the red! I ended up with Camo and got a discount for taking it. I love it, but apparently it’s not popular here in CO.
  22. I have 2 cyclones for back up and they are like staring into a supernova. Enjoy!
  23. Enjoy! Those Gators are tough, but I’d say you’re in the big leagues now. Did you get a Cab? I got mine Sept of 2019... came over to Can-Am from a 2011 Polaris 800 Crew (yes, the one with the “IED” of an engine). Haven’t really looked back! -Mark
  24. Ok - that monster is just way too clean..! 😜
