Well, having this outfitter canoe and a few high lakes around, I figured maybe a way to get it around would be nice... So, a wood mockup was made... while this would work toting it around to the lower lakes... an aluminum one will be made to actually accommodate the linQ system. Which will allow the uprights to be spread apart making a better stance. The aluminum one will also stand up to the abuse of making it to the high lakes... luckily i still have room for my chainsaw... for them new LOW HANGING branches... lol. It will be a bit before the aluminum rack due to fire season starting up soon and that is just ONE MORE hat I wear!!! Be safe!!! And when out camping..... Make sure your fire is DEAD OUT!!!!!

Okay, so the build has begun. I'm not using aluminum but using fence materials. Main frame is going to be a 42"×6' gate spead apart and a piece added to widen it.(I'm using top rail for the legs and additional bracing) Then added a center cross member that I will be adding a game winch to. Cut 4x32" legs and 2x 42" bed rails (2" angle) should be able to finish it up tomorrow... more pictures soon....

It really turned out better than expected!! And it's not even done... plan on skinning it with expanded steel to the sides and headache rack... then mount a winch to the cross bar... and doors to kennel the lab when hunting...  maybe someday I'll sit back and just enjoy him...... Yeah.... PROBLY NOT!!! LOL

😉
