I've installed a few of these now, we also had a stock Defender in so in case anyone is curious I decided to take pictures with measurements to show the difference between them and the stock A arms using stock tires and wheels. The picture shows a jack but the full weight of the Defender is on the wheels, I just didn't bother moving the jack.

I took the measurement at the tightest or closest point, the Defender with the offset A arms also has a spring/shock upgrade so it show a little more clearance, with the stock spring/shock the offset A arm provides 2"+ of additional tire clearance.
