    Hey All,

New to the forum and registered to hopefully get your opinions. I own a 8 month old defender 2020. This morning went to a meeting in another town and the car was working fine. When I got back and unlocked it I found out that the panel with the ac regulator was dead. Nothing was working. No lights on any of the knobs and buttons. Furthermore, the windows wouldn't work either, neither up or down. The central panel and the dash board were fine.

I drove it in the blistering heat to the dealer, who at first thought it was a blown fuse, but they checked in my presence and the fuses were alright. They gave me a small Renault as a replacement and put my car on diagnostics but haven't heard back.

    Anyone had this issue before?

I think your confused, this is Can-Am Defender site(UTV's). not a Land Rover Defender forum.

  2. So their not as EZ to change out as they make it sound. It takes me about 3 hours to do a swap out, mostly because I'm working alone and I'm nuts about torqueing and alignment. Also how much mud? These things are heavy to say the least.

I only run the Pre-filter on mine in DEEP snow with zero issues.

Good luck with what ever you do.

  3. I just ordered a EPI Sport kit for my HD10. they recommended it for the Tracks and the riding i do. Back ordered till the end of Apr.

Also when doing the Spring inspection I found the belt worn about 0.10" and  secondary clutch helix wearing on the roller edges so the whole thing will get changed out..... Hopefully  before Turkey season up here.😊

  4. Are you using a BRP belt or after market? Some after-market belt may not fit as well  as the OEM.  To season a belt, run the machine for 20 or so miles with slow starts and vary the speed don't Hammer it during the break-in. Check that the sheave's are clean and no grooves in them. If dirty clean with soap and water  and  light scrubbing with a Scotch-brite pad.

  5. I found Partzilla is about 10% to 20% lower on OEM parts and after a $ amount its Free shipping. Aftermarket I don't know, why would you need to mod these machines. It does' anything I task it with , Plowing snow, Track system, Hauling wood, broken down sleds-4wheelers, and a small car lost following Google maps.....  They were A Dumb Ass!

It just about the perfect ORV and I've owned a bunch of them. :classic_biggrin:
