I run 30x10 tires all the way around on some 14x7 itp wheels. I'm working on pulling the diff to double check everything and have a look inside.

I have the locker installed and at the time of install I measured 7 thou backlash which I figured would be perfect since it in the middle of .004 and .01 which the manual calls out. The issue is when I flip the 4x4 switch you can hear the front diff. Hard to explain but you can tell it's in 4x4 vs 2x4 , not turning but straight line down the road. So my thought was to put factory shim in and see what backlash is, not sure if tou get more noise from a looser or tighter backlash.

I installed a super atv pin locker and mixed my stock backlash shim in with all the others superatv supplies with the kit. I want to pull the diff to double check backlash and would like to try and figure out what one was in there originally. Has anyone measured the stock shim and could tell me how thick it was. I assume they use the same thickness at manufacuring but I could be wrong.

Found the issue to be in the switch. Swapped it and works as it shouls

They were no help, said they have never heard of issue. I spoke to halo also since there actuator looks the same and they gave some ideas but issue still there

I have a 21 lonestar, did the pc1200 battery upgrade, also have superatv pin locker. Issue is when the locker switch is on and locked if I run the winch while plowing the locker motor runs and starts to unlock. When I let off the switch it then fully extends again. Verified by pulling motor from diff to watch it while running winch. Even does it if I run power straight from battery. Thoughts?

Replaced left rear cv. Fixed the clunking sound but now I can hear the right side cv making some noise but nothing like the left. The left cv I removed feels fine may pull back the boots to see how it looks

I did raise the rear and looked for obvious issues but everything seems normal. My best guess so far is left rear cv . I have one coming and will swap that first and see if it fixes it. What is the torque for the center axle nut?

21 lonestar, when I make a tight left turn i get a clunking noise from rear-end. Tight right turn only get a few clunk. Not sure if left rear cv is going bad or if it coming from gear box/ rear diff.

Who has tried dynojet , evolution or even sxstechntuning to tune your hd10. Is tuning going to make a noticeable improvement?

Did you hook up the power for the locker to the keyed power post in the dash?. Thats how I wired my superatv pinlocker ( basically the same as a halo) but I noticed if I run my winch while the locker is locked I can hear the actuator at the front activate. As soon as I let off the winch switch the actuator stops making noise.

My 21 lonestar started to smell like coolant while plowing one day, it was the bleeder screw on each cylinder head. On each head there is a black plastic fitting with a bolt threaded in the top. All I had to do is snug those. Careful though as they are coarse thread steel bolts screwing into plastic

So what does the rear tire measure overall on the wider wheel? I also want to go to a 30x10r14 on all for corners but don't want to change the wheels. I like my factory lonestar wheels

I just pulled my diff and installed a superatv pin locker. Best decision I ever made. This is how these machines should come from the factory. I had such a bad grinding noise coming from my visco lok. When I removed the locker plates they looked all burnt like the visco wasn't disengaging at all. I only have 1300 miles on my 21 lonestar

Has any one tried to wire the factory smart lok switch to operate a halo locker on a defender that originally did not have smart lok. Want to replace the 4x4 switch with the smart lok one to operate 2, 4 and halo locker
