Defender HD 8 Engine Oil Capacity?

New Defender Owner Here,  I read on the forum, somebody else had the same problem, but can't find the thread. I drained my oil and changed the filter. Replaced 2 quarts and 2oz. of oil, ran the engine. The oil level was significantly over filled. I removed 10oz. and let the engine cool for 4 hours oil level is still over filled measured with the dipstick tightened. Anybody else encounter this? Thanks
