Hey guys, new 2020 lonestar owner here.  I have the front roof liner that will hold a sound system just like the factory.  Ive ordered some wetsounds equipment to install the bluetooth receiver and front speakers.  I would like to install rear speakers as well for the second row.  BRP sells the rear pods but only as a kit with the full system which is frustrating to say the least that they dont sell just the pods as an upgrade.  Anyone else worked through this issue?  Would like to keep with same line of speakers as the fronts.  Posting he free e incase someone had them and upgraded to something else.  TIA

Yup, I went through it. I ended up having to work with my dealer to exchange my installed front speaker and stereo head system for the full cab system. Was really a pain in the a$&. My situation was different because I had purchased the BRP system.

I purchased a new 2020 lonestar and had the glass flip windsheild/wiper kit ordered.  I found out quickly if you dont have the front headliner there's nowhere to mount and conceal the roof accessory wiring harness.  I ordered the bare liner to conceal the wiring with plans to install a different audio option then what brp offers.  It would be great for them to have the rear enclosures as an upgrade instead of cornering their buyers...the machine was over 20k so they should make them available imo.

As for mounting rear speakers.... I merely used the liner itself to mount the speakers. I also added one screw and fender washer just in front of the speakers... there is an embossed ring for placement. I have over 1000 miles with them installed this way, with NO issues... while I don't jump him or anything crazy like that.... but I DO wheel him (Bear) PRETTY HARD!! Again... with NO issues... Hopefully this helps... the picture shows the placement of the added screw. I used panel clip nuts to anchor the speaker to the liner...

Good luck...

Joe

One of the first guys I made these for had it like that temporarily. You certainly can do it like that, if you don't mind the sag in the headliner and it will bounce quite a bit...The headliner isn't designed to support that weight.

Maybe so... but with over 1000 miles on him on rugged trail systems like that and NO SAG.... I'm good. To each their own, glad you can help others that feel your supports are needed. I myself, don't see the need. But thats just me...

Guys,  I ordered this rear speaker mounting kit from James.  I spoke with him via phone prior to ordering and he was super professional.  The kit came with everything needed to mount and only took minutes.  The fit was spot on and looks great.  Thanks James for bringing a solution to add rear speakers to my Lonestar.

Would you be able to make something to cover the whole underside of the roof of a max (minus the middle bar)? I’m wanting to put 8 8” Rockfords a head unit and two flush mount amps. If so let me know and let’s talk price
