  1. I have about 2500-3000km on the tracks I would estimate. Many say I drive to slow and baby my machine haha so I wouldn't call them hard kms, but I do store the machine outdoors as I do not have a shop. I am not sure if the cold played a factor, as things just tend to break in -40. First noticed an issue back in the fall after I just had them put on, and my friend noticed a slight wiggle in the track when riding behind me. After that I didn't put many miles on it as I didn't trust it. Hopefully the cog shows up before the weekend, and I will post putting it all back together. I plan on swapping the bearings in the other 3 tracks this summer when I pull them off.
  2. Well the plan was to swap the bearings in the right rear track today, but it had others plans. About 200ft from my buddys who’s shed I was going to use to do the swap, the bearing failed! I always have a spare tire in so put it to use to nurse it over. In the process it F**ked the Cog. I think the main shaft is fine, but I ordered both today anyway to be safe hopefully will be here this week. These are a fair bit different from the Camso tracks. As you can see in the housing after I cleaned it there is a lip in the centre instead of a spacer. The bearings are two different sizes. Inner is 6011-2RS and outer is 6010-2RS. You will need an extractor to remove the bearings and racers, and I think will need a fwd style bearing press to put them back in. Could probably use a large socket, but better to use a press I think. Unlike the Camso the cover for the front of the housing does not pop off with a screwdriver. It’s got 3 torq bolts on the backside. There is also a o-ring around the round part of the cover. I also included a photo of the SKF bearings vs the Can-am bearings. They seem much more substantial so I hope they hold up better. About $30 a bearing, but will need to reuse the snap ring, spacer and back piece. Tune in next week lol
  3. I am looking at purchasing a 2021 Defender XT 6x6 to replace my 2019 HD8 XT. I run tracks a good 5 months of the year, and I am wondering if the 6x6 rear tracks from the Outlander 6X6 Apache 360 LT will fit? I know the bolt pattern is the same, and there is no mounting kit as no need for anti rotation bars with two axels. What I need to figure out is if the distance between the hubs is the same on the Defender and Outlander. I have a measurement of 82cm centre of front rear wheel to centre of back front wheel on a Outland 6x6. If anyone has any suggestions or would mind getting me a measurement hub to hub on their Defender 6x6 it would be appreciated! Thanks
  4. Update on this. Ordered the Can-am bearing kit for these. $130 out the door. I got the part numbers off the two bearings in the kit. 6011-2RS and 6010-2RS. They are cheap off brand in the Can-am kit. However these are the same part numbers for SKF and some other bearing brands. Amazon has them for $34 each when I checked. I am getting them for a bearing shop. I will update when I get them on fit and any life span. Planning to swap the other 3 tracks bearings in the summer.
  5. I have a defender which I got tracks for in July 2020. Put about 2000km on them last winter. Just had my tracks put on and a friend noticed a wiggle in the right rear track. Local mechanic at BRP here took a look and seems to be the main bearings on the track. See attached photo I borrowed from a commander forum. Waiting on bearings to come in. Wondering if anyone else had this issue with these, and if so did you upgrade to a heavier duty bearing and do you have a part number for the upgrade. I figure SKF may have something, but due to my location cannot just run out to a auto parts store.
  6. Def an issue.I had dealer replace both the windshield wiper switch and window switch due to this. They failed again. I talked to a friend who works on electronics and suggested using Nutrol contact cleaner. It worked. I opened up the switches and sprayed this on the contact and have not had any issues sense. A pain in the ass, but seems like the cheapest solution for all switches. https://www.amazon.ca/MG-Chemicals-Control-Cleaner-Aerosol/dp/B005T6I9HQ/ref=asc_df_B005T6I9HQ/?tag=googleshopc0c-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=292954213126&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=12383779677521969096&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1002150&hvtargid=pla-569048076214&psc=1
  7. These are +15mm offset all the way around. The rear has 1" NXT wheel spacers to make up the differences for the stock wider rears.
  8. I ordered them from UTV Canada in Alberta. Shipping was not cheap as we are fly in only, but they were great and mounted them to reduce the volume of the shipment which saved a fair bit. Super happy with them on the rocks and tundra here. We don't have to much mud but what I have been in the tires clear out well. Not as good as a mud tire would, but for me it was about performance on rocks. The extra clearance makes a big difference for crawling. Great for the eastern arctic terrain!
  9. Just took the tracks off the machine and swapped on tires for the summer. Ordered up these 30x9R14 System 3 XCR 350 on system 3 beadlocks. Machine is a 2019 stock suspension and a arms due to the track kit for winter. No rubbing on the front or rear with pre load at softest setting. 1” spacer on the rear to compensate for going to same width tire all around the machine.
  10. I just swamped the battery in my 2019 HD8 XT Cab. Mine had a round piece a bit different then yours. The odyssey would not fit seated to the inside of it but was enough room to sit on top and it is wedged in really well with the battery support it is not moving lo. I attached two images with the highlighted piece. That round piece seemed to move but I did not investigate if it could be removed. Hope this helps.
  11. 2019 HD8 XT Cab. Live in the Canadian Arctic in Baffin Island so decided to upgrade. Didnt have any issues with the stock battery at -30c but it can get down to -40 or below here and it was more for peace of mind. I did have to remove the zip ties holding the wires back behind the batter and route them overtop to fit the odessy pc1200. Its a fair bit bigger then the stock battery so takes some negotiating to get it in but it will fit.
  12. Did anyone find a decent aftermarket replacement for these switched? My 2019 Defender XT Cab has had this issues since day 1. Had the windshield wiper switched replaced and driver side window switches once so far under warranty. Every couple months I have been pulling the switch apart and cleaning the contacts using Nutrol Control Cleaner https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B005T6I9HQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 works really good, but is just a pain. I have not had any issues with the XTC Turn Signal Kit switches, and wished they would make some replacements for the Defender Cabs.
