I have the Can Am 10 vent dash heater installed in my rig and it provides more than enough heat inside.  I also installed the Radiator Winter Front part number 715005108 from the Can Am parts catalog.  Here is a pic of this part installed...it basically blocks the radiator enough that the heater will melt you out of the cab...lol.  I also have heated seats which are fantastic.  When I start my rig up and its -25 Celsius...the heat from the seats is almost instant so it works perfectly with the dash heater. Radiator.thumb.jpg.d38fbbf8a47049106c57261f59776cb9.jpg

I have 650 km on it so far.  But at this point winter has given us more than our fair share of snow and I will have to put tracks on it from here on in or park it until spring.  I am leaning heavily on the track purchase...lol.  As far as the tires are concerned, I reduced the air pressure down to 10 lbs on all 4 corners.  If I am going to load up the box or do some serious work then I will add more at that time.  The aggressive tire is one of the reasons in buying it.  I really like hitting some mud and water holes and it just chews its way along.  I have opened the doors to let water out on many occasion...and with the tires you get 15 inches of ground cleaners.  I have drove over some big looking rocks and stumps that I was sure was going to hit the skid plate....and it rolled right over them.  I just can not say enough good things about the tires and ground clearance and the smart lock...wow.  4 wheel drive and both front and back difts locked in!!!....just wow!!!  This rig just fits me so well.  Lots of sporty fun and work capable....it just does it all.

      Hi

Its holding up well.  I had a few growing pains.  One ended up being a lose battery connection to the primary battery and the second issue was a connector going to one of the LED lights on top of the roof.  For some reason it had disconnected...don't have a clue how it happened but two of the LED lights stopped working but the switch was still powered.  Any way, once I traced the problem back to the connector it was an easy fix.

As you said...you like the idea of a defender...thats the same reason why I purchased it.  To me its a play toy and a working rig.  Its the best of both worlds!  The HD10 engine will push the rig to 65 mph and to me thats plenty fast in a woods.  And the smart lock...wow.  I have locked both front and back diffs and this thing just digs hard in low gear.

I am sure you have read the spec sheet so I will not go over the list of great features that come on the Xmr version but I will say this....15 inches of ground clearance on 30 inch tires!!!...just spells loads of fun in the mud...lol.

I am in the process in created a YouTube channel in the next week or so and I will send you some links to a few videos.  I have been driving it all winter up until the 50 plus cm snow dump we got a few days ago.  Now I need to look at tracks.  Anyway if you have any specific question about the Defender Xmr just fire them off to me.  I will try to check this account more often.
