left my defender overnight in neutral now it won't start, is it possible to take the key out with the acc. still on? 2017 hd10 with 30 hours will try to jump it morning

Have you checked your battery with a volt meter? If the battery is not dead step on the brake if you're still in neutral and move your shift lever back and forth a bit and try the key again.
In park I believe it will start without stepping on the brake. I haven't tried to take the key out except in the off position.
If the gauges turn on step on the brake and try the starter. If the guages do not turn on but the battery is good it could be fuse 8, check the fuse.🙄
