  1. A lot of the info on doors seemed dated so I started another…have to give Thumper Fab a huge 5 star rating. I looked at doors until I couldn’t stand looking further. Watched videos & reviews until blue in the face. And kept going back to the Thumper Fab product. Damn glad I did. Talk about fit and finish to a “T”. Top notch quality down to every washer. Now I will say the instructions could be better. But there’s a company video that helps the install process. Of course a second person would’ve been great to have but I pulled it off solo in just a few hours. Not counting making the trip to their facility in Marshall, Texas to pick em up. Didn’t want to take a chance on receiving damaged doors after waiting on em to be built. Just a couple hour drive for me so not a big deal. If ya don’t know the company, I would highly suggest to do some research on their products and see what they offer for the Defenders. Quite impressive outfit.

  2. I went with the Super ATV version. Serves for what I needed. Wanted a step up to access cargo bed and hopefully add protection if rear ended or backing into something. Whatever you decide to go with however, replace the factory plastic cargo bed mounts with the aftermarket metal ones. It’s a guarantee that in the unfortunate mishap of backing into something or behind struck from behind, they will break and off goes the cargo bed.

  3. No help with the seadoo nav retro. But I do run a tablet for GPS & Mapping. Just installed this kemimoto device holder for current setup. Had the tablet on a ram mount prior to but this is a cleaner install.

I have the Dynojet Power Vision 3 on my 2019 Defender hd10 xt. Most noticeable differences is the fact it runs cooler due to the fan temp change and the low speed lunge is no more. As far as doing burnouts from HP increase, not there. Never have known what my top speed is due to not being able to stand on the accelerator for too long, due to lack of straight aways. But I’d say when ya pin the pedal to the floor it’s breaking tires loose in dirt, gravel, etc.

  5. Decided to go with the Dynojet PV3…came with tune already installed…simple plug & play setup…things I noticed immediately…

radiator cooling fan comes on @ 199°…was well over the 200° mark factory setting…throttle response is better and the talked about “lunge” in the lower speeds is gone…cold starting is better…overall the engine just seems to run smoother…haven’t had an opportunity to open full throttle for top speed but no doubt it’ll be improved as well…

There’s a lot going on behind the scene contributing to the new performance and I’m sure I’ll notice more as conditions arise. But initial impression is I’m glad I went this route and am experiencing the above improvements thus far.

  6. Sure seems like the temp bars are higher than what I recall them normally operating at. Can’t swear to it. But they will go as high a 5 and the fan will knock em back to 3. I’ve noticed also that on the rear cargo bed the, what I think to be called, “deflector” doesn’t fit flush against the back wall. Like it is warped now possible due to the heat? Coolant in the fill bottle is within range so don’t think I’m losing any. Ideas??? Pic included is of the part I feel is taking some heat now.

  7. I don’t have a lift on my ‘19 Defender hd10 XT so I stayed with the stock wheels and went to only a 28x10x14 all the way around. I did put 1.5” spacers on the rear only to move the tires out from under the bed. I went with System 3 xtr370 (8 ply) tires. Absolutely recommend them. Planet sxs had the best prices when I purchased.

I don't have any yet myself, but I have been looking at Ruff Tuff Custom Seat Covers (rufftuff.com)

I have the ruffruff seat covers on the hd10. Fit & finish is outstanding. My GSP is in and out and not so much as a snag or mark. Easy to clean and quick to dry. Would recommend them. Follow the directions and take your time upon installation. Haven’t had to touch mine since initial install. That’s almost a year now. Pic included is the set I got for my buggy.

Thanks for the update, both fluids looked like they had water in them the right hand one for sure. Since your describe fairly normal trail riding did you check the vent lines from the front and rear diff to make sure one or both hadn't come off or torn? I realize you changed the fuids a year ago. Normal color for the used diff fluid is dark almost black, lightly used may still appear dark green?

Your note on the Ford friction modifier is interesting since the visco lok front end dosen't have any sliding clutches per se and the visco part is sealed with its own high viscosity fluid which activates the movement to apply more force left or right. The friction modifier was used in pickup rear (Ford, GMC and Dodge) ends when they chattered going around a corner for example.

Good to hear everything sounds normal a year later.🙂

Checked all external sources for the possible entry point of the water / condensation. Nothing located. I changed the second fluids fairly soon after the original. And there was zero issues like the first go around. So hoping no surprises awaits this far along.
I’ve watched a couple YouTube videos on the visco lok system. No idea what the friction modifier helped out but the oddly sounding slapping, knocking, etc., noise from the front end left as a result of using it.

Did this fix your noise problem?

Just a change of the fluid in the front diff did not help the slapping noise. But, further info received from another dealer, was to add a 4oz bottle of Ford friction modifier. After about  a hundred miles, give or take, noise has subsided and all seems good to go. That’s been some time ago now as well.

  11. Seemingly I was having the same type of noise / rattle / clanking noise, on my 2019 Defender HD10 XT. After numerous calls to different dealerships, one finally provided a solution. I was advised, by a Can-Am dealer, to go to a Ford dealership and get a 4oz bottle of “friction modifier” and dump it into the front differential. After 50-100 miles, haven’t heard it since.

  12. Oh man...I figured I’d go ahead and service the differentials and gearbox on my buggy...now mind ya it’s not a mud park ride...deer lease and casual trails bout it...as much water it goes through is a small creek to the bottom of floor board...to my surprise It appears the front fluid has water and the rear just don’t know...it looks more “normal” than the front for sure...pic shows front diff fluid to the right and rear diff fluid on the left...I replaced all fluids with Royal Purple and gonna see what it looks like in a few weeks...what say the forum?

  13. Since posting, I talked to the service manager where buggy was purchased. Was advised that most likely an issue with Visco lock...could try and service the front diff and go with a suggested heavier oil may solve it or replace under warranty, I have through Jan 2020. So taking it to a nearby dealer, not where I purchased it, and hoping for a resolution and not much grief due to not buying from them.

  14. Just recently I’ve noticed a noise, while turning, from the front end. More or less a light hum, groan or roar, for lack of better description. Not so much as a clatter or clunk. All this in regular 2wd mode. Any ideas?
