  1. Spartan45acp, yes the tooling for my 2018 is the same tooling required for your 2019 as well. I ended up sticking with the stock Can Am belt, mainly due to the price tag ($103) that Rocky Mountain ATV had on them. I did consider buying the EPI Severe Duty Belt from Dennis Kirk ( https://www.denniskirk.com/epi-performance/severe-duty-belt-we265030.p020568.prd/020568.sku), but I couldn't find much feedback on the belt.
  2. The CVT Belt- (Broke with less than 200 miles, I know I should have been taking it easy/ breaking it in still!) Very Important Tooling Needed. I just broke my first belt on my 2018 Defender XMR after a long day of pushing the machine tromping through some deep snow. We were going to change the belt right there as I had a spare belt and tools with. Took off the CVT cover and to our surprise the secondary clutch is different from other models! We were hoping to just use a M8x1.25x70mm hardened bolt to separate the clutch, but there were no holes on the clutch. After reviewing the manual it points out that you need a special Adapter (Can AM #708200686) and the Puller (#529000072) to push them apart. Called around to my local Can Am Dealers and no one has them in stock, great! I was able to find the Adapter on Ebay and the Puller on Rocky Mountain ATV . Make sure you order these tools to have on hand so you dont get caught with your pants down like me. As an FYI, I have a buddy that has 1300 miles on his belt and still going strong.
