  2. I have a 2019 defender xmr...coming up 16k kilometers...never greased the wheel bearings once yet!
  3. I Put 32x10x14 carnivores on my 2019 defender xmr without any mods, used same rims. No Issues what so ever. Added 2" of ground clearance.
  4. So, The New Carnivore 32x10x14 tires are on the unit. Installed on Stock Rims. Aprox. 1,000 kms on them now. Highly recommend these. After the Horrible riding Cryptids these are now like driving a machine with Marshmallow wheels! So smooth, no vibrations. They Rock! Plus 2" free extra inches of ground clearance!!
  5. 2019 MXR Review after 8200ks

Cons- Worst seat belts in the market, so hard to reach around and find the belt receptacle. I moved mine with a simple mod to get it 4 inches further ahead. As soon as a bit of dirt gets in the belt retraction system it sticks constantly and is a complete pain in the ass.

-Half Doors are very poorly designed, vibrating with the rough riding cryptid tires, upper hinges are constantly grabbed and bent by trees., constant adjusting......Walmart could do better.

-Front bumper is not adequate- Did a mod to enhance and protect front plastic and  lights from damage when going thru thick brush. Mothership never looked at the ranger high lifter.

-Front headlight bulbs keep blowing out. Not from deep mud and water, Maybe vibration. Gone thru at least 6 headlight bulbs since new.

-Snorkels limit rear view and should have on or off option.

-Grease fittings should be properly fitted for easier access without  buying 90 degree adaptors.

    Pro's

-Minimal maintenance. I grease it once a month, its on its 3rd oil change, and first new air filter. I use kimpex  oil filters and my shell rotella 0w-40  synthetic same as my loader backhoe. Never seen a dealer for anything yet. Just ordered brake pads all around, for stock. never looked at the belt, or any other fluids.

-Robust skid frame...trails I use have big rocks, no damage yet.. I did jam a stick thru the front passenger fire wall, patched it up.

-Mirrors for the half doors are robust, and highly recommended.

-Carry's a good load, easily. I often drive this to the Quebec border near me and fill up 4- 60 packs of beer, and fill my 205 litre drum of gas, groceries, Chinese food etc. and drive back home. Handles it nicely.

Summary, I am waiting to put my new  32" maxxis carnivores on it, and get rid of all the vibration and steering wheel chatter from the cryptid stock tires. All on stock rims. Been waiting for a month now for delivery, I am sure due to Covid. This should smooth the ride out. So far a dependable, robust, powerful machine! No regrets what so ever !

I am always interested to see any other Defender xmr owners comments on these machines.

    Travel safe, Don.

  6. Hey Joe. yes, stock rims. Tires will be in end of April so will post a picture of them mounted, As long as no rubbing occurs I am Happy! Carnivores are lighter than the stock cryptids so clutching will not be an issue! Cant wait to get rid of the vibrating, rough riding cryptids!!
  7. Hi Joe. Thanks for the reply. It has stock 30" cryptid tires on it. I did order the new 32" Carnivores so will let you know when I get them mounted and installed!
  8. I Have the Stock Cryptid on my Defender XMR...close to 8,000 k on them, they are over 50% worn. Way to rough of a ride, they shake the steering wheel and vibrate the cab horribly. Going to a smoother riding tire real soon and cant wait!
  9. By the way , a big thumbs up for the side mirrors, I have them and they get beat daily and still hold position ...highly recommend them...very durable. Was thinking seriously of installing back up camera and Dash monitor.
  10. Has anyone replaced the stock tires on a stock Defender XMR ? I am thinking of purchasing 4 new 32 x10 x14 Maxxix Carnivore tires on the front and back of my XMR. Does any one have experience with this or see any problems mounting these? I want to utilize the stock rims. Any input would be appreciated ! Thanks, Don
