  1. Thanks for the info on the offset. is your defender wider in the front than the rear? Now I am having issues with the electric windows. one side will go up but not down. Im tearing into it now.
  2. When my cab kit got installed my suspension sagged just a bit. I put two inch pucks all the way around which gave me a 3 inch lift. I then put 33 inch mud tires on it. The ride was rough as hell and the tires rubbed some on a downhill sharp turn. The real problem (I have the 2019 defender xmr) was the front is about 4 inches wider than the rear. With the aftermarket tires and rims it looked and rode weird. I then went on to put spacers on the rear but I would have had to replace studs with longer ones to make it work. I was worried about the clutching as well. I sold the tires and rims, had the pucks cut in half which gave me a light lift. My 30 inch cryptids only measure out to 28.75 inches (which is bullshit to say they are 30's). The cryptids work amazing, If I were to go bigger maybe 31 inch mud tires. Nice looking rig there, A hunt to remember.
  3. Greetings again. Update on my xmr. I sold the tires and rims to a friend who has the turbo xc, man did those tires do great. I went back to stock because of all the mods I would have to do to make these tires work. kwk907, you are correct about track mounts not working on the forward a arms, another reason I decided not to buy forward a arms. I would like to go to a 31 inch criptyd as my stock 30 inchers only measure out to 28.75 inches. A dirty trick cam am did for marketing. The stock tires are amazing however, just wanted more ground clearance. When I put the spacers on the brake calipers and lines were too exposed. Any suggestions on proper rims to buy to keep tires in line? I would like to bump up to a 15 or so inch rim.
  4. The tires are system 3 xm310.The rims are also system 3. What I have found out since my trial is that I wound up with over 4 inches difference in width the front is wider than the back. I guess the stock rims have a different offset. Im putting two inch spacers on the rear. Also the stock wheel studs are not long enough to accommodate the spacers, jeezzzz. so will have to order new ones. Im also going to put 2 inch forward super atv a-arms up front as these 33 inch tires rub just a bit. Oh, these are 18 inch rims. The tires dig like hell though and the stance is great. The machine turns these tires great.
  5. I bought my 2019 xmr last Sept for moose hunting, after setting up camp and having a good night's sleep I rode down the trail about 400 yards and baged my moose. I carried the whole moose (quartered) out with the defender. I just put these 33 inch tires on and have not tested them out yet, but real soon. I also run tracks in the winter. This rig is a beast. So happy with it. I was a former Polaris owner.
  6. Hello, this is Brutus The Basher, lol. I ran my cryptid tires at 14 front and 18 back and had no issues. I have just upgraded to 33 inch system three tires with 18 inch rims. They had 18 lbs all around and seemed too hard. I'm trying 13 all around amd if I load the back with gear Ill bump up the rear a bit. The bead locks are simulated however. Tomorrow is the big test for tires. I put in a 3 inch lift to clear tires, used pucks to boost preload. This is a 2019 xmr.
  7. Hello,Im new to this forum. This is Brutus. 2019 defender xmr. I put a 3 inch lift via shock pucks and added 33 inch system 3 tires on 18 inch wheels. I haven't tested the rig yet, but will tomorrow. The pucks made the preload stronger for the lift and has a notable stiffer ride, but I'm a creeper kinda guy anyway. Im wondering if anyone else has made lift mods and what issues may arise. I am concerned about clutching but these tires are 20 plus lbs each lighter than my stock 30's and hope the weight difference will offset the torque difference. I do plan to switch tires back and forth depending on trail needs. I also run tracks in the winter up here in Alaska. The full cab and a great heater makes this possible.
  8. Greetings. I just installed a Rugged radio in my 2019 defender xmr with the hand held that plugs into the base unit which allows me to talk to my buddies with the same system. It will also bluetooth music to the noise cancelling headset. Great system. It is supposed to have a 2-5 mile range. After further review I think an external antenna would be best.
  9. Greetings all. I have a 2019 defender xmr camo. I just put a 3 inch lift via spring pucks then set preload to softest setting and then added 33 inch system3 mud tires on 18 inch rims. I hear some people remove the sway bar to get better articulation. I plan to go back and forth from these tires to my stock tires. Do I need to do any clutch adjusting? I also use tracks in the winter. I ride all season here in Alaska. Your thoughts please. Photos to come. Oh, I can run about 20 ish mph now in low range at about 6k.
