  1. I totally agree with Mark. Strap that tire down with a ratchet strap. The best way to seat a beadlock rim. Been there... done that... it works!
  2. It’s that time of year to get the last bushes and trees planted before spring.
  3. Two things I love besides my family: guns and off-roading. That Defender looks sick. Shot Show is a blast as well. Plan to head to Vegas with some friends next year to see Shot Show 2020. Hopefully it’s not all altered ARs and we get some great new gun technology besides a new AR rail, grip, or stock. Ha ha.
  4. I hope so! I’ve had them on the market here in NC for a few weeks and no hits yet. The wife wants them out of the garage.
  5. Sure thing! Includes 2018 Defender XMR OEM ITP wheels and ITP Cryptid tires including lug nuts.
  6. After 60 hours on my Can-Am XMR I have started to develop a bad brake squeal on my rear brakes. It sounded so bad I had my mechanic check it out because I swore I had a faulty wheel bearing or needed to use a greaser tool to lube my bearings again. If you have experienced this it sounds like metal on metal so bad you swear damage is occurring every time it happens. Mine only happened in reverse at about 3-5 mph. The bearings appeared to be just fine upon inspection so my mechanic swears it’s a brake issue. Apparently this is fairly common with Defenders and Can-Am in general using metallic brake pads. Has anyone experienced this? What did you use to fix it with real results?
  7. Hey everyone. I’m selling my 2018 Defender XMR wheels and tires (ITP wheels and ITP Cryptid tires) from NC if anyone is interested. They are great mud tires and rims but I have several other sets I use instead for terrain in NC and the southeast. Most guys I ride with use Polaris Razors so no one has a need for the Can-Am bolt pattern. Cryptid tires are 98% with limited wear. ITP Wheels are in excellent condition. Please let me know if anyone is interested.
  8. I totally agree. A lot of people on other forums bash the XMR shocks but I have no problems. I run my shocks on the hardest setting front and rear and use STI beadlocks on low PSIs with Kanati Mongrels. It rides and handles excellent. I only plan to replace them when I start feeling it on the trails as well.
  9. Nice work there! I use my XMR on my acreage all the time in NC. It’s an awesome machine for all kinds of work and hauling equipment or gear.
  10. I bought my yellow Can-Am Defender XMR as a compromise to not buy an AA Yellow 1995 Land Rover Defender 90. I am glad Can-Am won this ridiculous suit. It’s comparing apples to oranges.
  11. I haven’t had any need. If you see my XMR post I’m running 30 Mongrels on stock suspension at 58 mph (video). It handles great and is smooth. No need for Fox 2.0 shocks at this time.
  12. You can buy the shocks directly from Can-Am. About $2K total in parts.
  13. I store premium in fuel cans (NATO cans) but before a ride I top off with 87. My XMR sips fuel so slowly on even hard days (60 mph) that I’m astonished that I only burn a half tank after 5-6 hours on the trails. I wish my truck could do that!
  14. I’m in the market for new doors. Do they have an expected date for availability? Anyone on here have any experience with Rage Fab doors? If so let me know pros/cons.
  15. I totally agree. My XMR is more expensive than the first SUV I bought on active-duty.
  16. Man it’s fun! I wish I could ride every day on the trails. I am using a GoPro Hero with a 180 degree mount attached to my helmet.
  17. Make Fox Podium Shocks standard on XMR models.
  18. Having fun blasting down a straightaway riding with Southeast UTV in NC. The XMR may be geared for mud but can haul when needed. A485813A-2378-44FC-B3F1-07EB33C4C8F6.MP4
  19. Here’s the proof that Mongrels can handle some serious mud. This is a 300 ft section of southern NC mud and clay. 740D547E-7D56-44AA-BA6E-3C8AF6C795DF.MP4
  20. I’ve always liked the Defender Lone Star Edition. Nice rig you got there!
