  1. Also a couple pictures from the one and only ride we took the defender looks so nice parked nice parked out there does not look quite as nice park in the sea canister till October.
  2. Really I think the three seats is what I like the most of the defender as it gives me room to take my wife and daughters out on the land hd8 gives me a little bit more power and two cylinders with I do like more than one. The Maverick and the commander would both be fun but I don't I think I need that much power and in all honesty if they'll take away a little bit of the usefulness of the Machine to only have two seats. It is the reason why the Honda and the Polaris have both been thought of as well since they're basically an exact body copy of the defender and though I do enjoy the theoretical dependability of a Can-Am BRP machine Any BRP product I bought up here has given me nothing but trouble where has every Honda I bought have been gold. Though I do think it's going to be between nhb 8th and the commander 800 because like I said as much as I like Maverick I don't think there's enough trails that won't destroy the vehicle up here for me to want that much zip
  3. Still sad, what would you suggest? Hd8, maverick trail or commander 800? Could also get "dealership price" on a honda pioneer 700 or I was also due to.price looking at the Polaris rzr but to be honest with the can am at least I have the software to read and reset stuff.
  4. So after doing wire traces writing a message with the buds computer on Startup finding lots of loose screws and bolts and ones that were just rolling around the cab area I decided to refund the machine and send it back to head office on the next sealift out. So I'm no longer I Defender owner sadly because I did enjoy the machine when it wasn't dying my company has nothing in stock right now because can an apparently isn't really making much so I bought an ATV for now and next year or the year after on the Summers sealift on my tat going to send up an HD 8 a Maverick Trail or Commander 800 the commander 800 in the Maverick Trail where the two I was actually looking at before I pick up the hd5 and I only picked up the hd5 because I was guaranteed to get it because they had it in stock at the warehouse and the others we had to wait to see if they were able to get any
  5. But on the plus side the air filter was fully clean
  6. Yes I'm having a lot of fun fighting with my company's Motorsports division they are trying their best to try and say it's tampering which is fine since I don't have any trees anywhere near me like anywhere hell I can drive for a full 24 hours and still not hit trees
  7. Came fully assembled, the hondas that were shipped to us were created, I still have to pull them out of the sea canister and assemble them. Fault code T0106, pressure sensor on the cylinder head apparently but did find this. Still pissed off this was sold to me as brand new, but since I work for the company I have to play this with kids gloves.
  8. so I posted first but good day. my name is Chad, I live in Nunavik which is the Canadian Arctic though it is Northern Quebec not Nunavut as most think of. I've had horrible luck with both BRP products I have now purchase since moving up here. Bought a 2020 Ski-Doo Expedition LX 600 Ace which had a faulty oil pump since there was water in the oil when it arrived up here and at -52 degrees you can guess what happened and a 2018 Defender hd5 which was still brand new with zero kilometres on it at our warehouse in Winnipeg which came up had two hours Put on the engine and then it popped backfired and threw up the check engine light and as I was tinkering I did find lots of wood chips and pine cones in the engine compartment as well as many rusted parts and rusted bolts. I still love both my BRP machines but I'm still really wishing I had bought something that I understood the engines more on than the rotax so when stuff like this happened I wasn't as out in the lurch. That being said I can't wait to get them both working properly so that I can get some nice pictures out on the tundra
  9. However it was fun when Motorsports argued with me that this was from up here seeing as we're both the tree line by a couple hundred kilometres
  10. Living in Puvirnituq right now was either being sent here or Pangritung. Found the plug under the hood like you guys said thank you since the guy in Motorsports down in Winnipeg kept arguing with me that it was under the glove box. We then had issue after issue with the buds computer but we had one shipped in from another community so I'm about to go hook it up and see what it says
  11. Well I hope that isn't the thing since we technically are the dealer but aren't the dealer since the dealer is in Winnipeg and we're in the Arctic and sell them we have a buds computer but I can't find where the defender hopes up since it's not where are our Motorsports division tells me it should be
  12. Okay, brand new machine just came off the boat a few days ago, second ride was today. Has 2:20 on the engine and about 60 miles. Throttle stopped responding, engine shut off, started again stopped responding backfired and check engine light came on and engine died. Thoughts?
  13. Thanks for the reply, Can-am themselves ended up getting back to me that nothing they sell will fit the defender and I would have to look after market so I am trying to figure out the size and threads . I really wish now I had ordered the few thousand more commander but I didn't realize BRP would leave one brand of utv in danger and protect all others, plus skidoos.
  14. Okay, so I've been scouring the internet and have yet to see an answer, I bought a 2019 defender to go with my 2020 skidoo Expedition sport and 2019 honda foreman fourtrax...I moved to the artic for work and all there really is to do is play on the toys out on the tundra... kids here though are fond of putting rocks in people's gas tank the defender gets here on the sea lift in 4 weeks I'm curious if there is a locking fuel cap for this model Aura home Sol order home Sol and have to hope for the best
