  1. The red and black is your power for the dome light (a can am dome light plugs right into these) and the purple and white is for the windshield washer fluid pump that mounts on the washer fluid tank right behind the cab. Red set should be constant when the ignition is on and the purple set is switched with the windshield wiper switch.
  2. In my opinion these engines are tuned down quite a bit, so, I'd say you are completely fine.
  3. I believe that is a diagnostic plug. It should be plugged into the piece of plastic on the top right of the picture.
  4. I'm not sure if you've already tried this, but if you loosen the two torque screws on the sides of the handle you can adjust the handle. Other than that, I've got nothing.
  5. Have you looked into Rotopax. I think they are basically the pioneer for mounting gas cans on offroad machines.
  6. Installed the windshield banner yesterday and couldn’t be more happy. Fit was perfect and installation was a breeze!
  7. It says in that link that they are good up to 31" tires. So, fitting 32" tires might be alright with the addition of your 2" lift.
  8. I would say the forward A-arms are definitely needed, but I have no knowledge on the MCFFA-C1D-B arms.
  9. I've only had mine for one winter, but i think its decent. I bought the winter front from BRP to help heat when its really cold and that helped tremendously. I still have some air leaks from under the dash, but other than that the cab is perfectly warm and windows are mostly clear.
  10. I believe the limited's are good to go with the 30's. They came with the arched a-arms and I believe they are also a few inches forward from the early Defenders.
  11. I bought my matching switches off of Amazon. They look pretty decent and you can get a switch for just about anything.
  12. I do not have a max, but with my camso tracks I have yet to have any issues with getting through the snow in central/northern Minnesota. I'm sure it won't go through as much as your outlander, but it is still VERY capable.
  13. I have a poly one from Super ATV that works just fine. It gets scratched over time and harder to see out of and I've heard the glass will cut down on cab noise a little more than the poly, but other than that, there is really no difference
  14. In my experience I would never go without a glass windshield. It is a huge expense up front, but its worth it to me in Minnesota since I'm driving in generally cooler temps and I rarely have it all the way open, so, having a nice clean, un-scratched windshield is more important to me. That might not be the case in your area since you will mostly be driving with it all the way open, I'm assuming... Another benefit is having a windshield wiper with the glass OEM windshield. You will need a rear windshield if you install a front windshield because dust will swirl and you will get quite a bit more dust without it. Hope this helped.
  15. I usually run 30" tires when the tracks are not on, whether it be the stock Xmr tires or a set of street tires. I would say it will put more stress on your CV joints, but nothing they can't handle. Another route you could take, if you have the budget, is buying all new shocks. That will give you a little lift and greatly improve the ride, but you'll be out about $2,500US...
  16. I think the absolute easiest lift kit is a bracket lift that will bolt on to where the bottom of each shock mounts to. I did the spacers on my shocks and its kind of a pain if you don't have the right tools since you have to disassemble the shock to get the spacer in.
  17. I believe there are plastic mounts that mount to the plastic roof. There was a thread on here somewhere of someone doing it. If you google "can am defender speaker mount" you should be able to find something.
  18. I believe the $85 one is only for the HD5 Defender...
  19. I installed Rugged Radios two way in mine. Just bought the standard radio kit and mounted it up high so it would never be submerged, but if you never drive through deep water you could mount it anywhere. Relatively easy to install, just make sure you read their instructions or how to power the unit, run the antenna cable and how to ground the antenna.
  20. my opinions on your questions: 1. I honestly don't think there is a break-in period on the defender. I was told that I just needed to change the oil once I hit 1000 miles. I don't believe that putting the tracks on or plowing snow right after you take delivery is going to put any more stress on it than if you waited until after break-in. I've found that these things are pretty much tanks and with regular maintenance they'll last awhile. Obviously the tracks are going to put more stress on certain components compared to tires, but from my experience with the Camso tracks my machine doesn't seem to mind it. 2. I run my machine in 4wd all the time when the tracks are on and in high gear unless I'm climbing or the snow is coming over the hood. 3. I can't really elaborate on the elevation issues since I'm from Minnesota and we're basically at sea level being at only 1,200ft lol 4. The only thing I would say could help at elevation is a tune and a turbo haha I don't think the defender was really made to high mark. As far as octane recommendations, I've heard it both ways, "only run 91 non-oxy" "only run regular 87 unleaded". I personally run 91 non-oxy only for the fact that if ethanol fuel sits long enough it leaves a white residue when it evaporates. Hope you find the answers you're looking for. Good luck!
  21. I would say either bolt it through the roof or bolt a steel plate to the roof that the magnets will stick to...
  22. yup, definitely carry a NOCO jumper with me at all times.
  23. Anyone have any suggestions on what traction boards are best? Seems like everyone and their mom makes them and prices range from in the hundreds to under a hundred
