  1. Im still looking for a good vinyl wrap color match on 2018 Can Am Defender Intense Red?
  2. I do have the retention tabs. So much easier if I would have figured this out before doing it the hard way. Thanks for bringing me up to speed.
  3. Has anyone found a vinyl wrap that matches the 2018 Can Am Defender Intense Red Color? I installed hard doors and want to do some color matching to the stock color.
  4. I did not see any retention tabs on my gate. The outside cover of the tailgate had to be removed so I could get a wrench on the inside cable nuts to disconnect the cables to the gate. Then tip out until the gate would come out the slotted housing on the driver side of the vehicle. Thanks for the input, I will double check on that retention tab to see if I missed something. Thanks for the input.
  5. Is there a quick method for removing tailgate on 2018 can am defender box?
  6. Is there an easy way to remove stock switches from the dash without breaking tabs?
  7. Mark, understood. What I was asking is if you can see the wire connection to the tail light when you remove the side panel to replace the reflector with the cyclone lights?
  8. Mark, since you have had the sides off to install your back up lights, is there easy access that way to run a lead from the stock brake lights to auxilary brake lights? I have looked all over in the brake pedal switch area and can not find a source to run the brake lights back from the pedal.
  9. Ill report back. I dont know why they would not blink if you hook them to the LED Flasher and tie into the same switch that activates the rear LED turn signals. On my can am, I wired rear auxilary turn, running and brake lights that have their own circuit separate of the stock harness. Way less money and no need to cut into the stock harness. Only issue so far is finding access to the stock brake wire near the brake pedal. I would cut in there to activate rear aux brake lights.
  10. I ordered two of the cyclone (red) lights off amazon. Thay are advertised 516 lumas each. I wanted to see how bright or not bright they are. Reviews are all over the place, too bright, not bright enough?

With regards to grounding the antenna. The antennas I have seen are all designed to be insulated from the base mount. In other words, the antenna does not get grounded to the frame, the base does. I am assuming in cases where an antenna is mounted to a non metallic surface, the base the holds the antenna is what needs to be grounded to the frame, not the antenna itself. Correct?
  12. Im still trying to find a good location near the brake pedal to tape into the brake light wire to activate auxilary brake lights. Anyone have a suggestion?
