  1. Thanks for the reply. I called Turner earlier and they mentioned that they have seen issues with the catvos lifts. I am to the point where i think im gonna take the lift off. I've had nothing but problems but don't want to get something else that is going to cause more axle issues. I am considering going down to 30" tires and just the amount of lift needed to accomdate those. That should improve my angles and hopefully my axle issues go away. What lift would you suggest? I"ll check out your build as well! thanks!
  2. I have a 2019 canam HD10 cab model with a 3" catvos suspension lift and spring upgrade. Has 32 in Maxxis carnivore tires, rhino 2.0 axles in the rear and gorilla axles in the front. I had alot of problems with axle boots when i first got it and carried it to the Catvos shop in Shreveport to get fixed. I bought it with Turner axles in the rear and boots constantly busted on them. The advice from the Catvos folks was to replace with rhino axles. Rhino did ok for a short period (couple months) but now I am on my 3rd warrantied axle on the driver side rear and expect it to not last very long either. The advice from the Catvos shop was to replace the rhino axles with Cobra axles now. I am at my wits end with this thing and just want it to run without axle issues. I am almost to the point to go back stock and put smaller tires back on it if it would relieve all of these issues. Does anyone have experience with cobra axles or any other brand that works well and lasts? Also, the failures on the rhino axles are just that they come apart....basically just pop out of the inner cup on the rear and its only the driver side rear. Any advice would be appreciated!
  3. Hey I have a 2019 xt cab model as well. I am having lots of issues with the front diff and wanted to see if you guys know the correct axle length for the front axles. My bike has a 3 in catvos lift and has gorilla axles in the front. I'm starting to wonder if my front axles are the wrong length. The front right will pop out and if they are both seated in the diff I have lots of popping when turning. Figured I would verify lengths first.
  4. If you could post that procedure for adjusting the backlash I would appreciate it. I only had one shim in the diff when I took it apart. If I need more would I have to get from a canam dealer or could I find them somewhere else?
  5. Quick update on my front diff. I got a sleeve put in the main gear carrier as I mentioned above. I went ahead and replaced the bearings in the diff as well when I put it back together. Now ever since I have lots of gear noise...popping...that seems to be coming from the differential now. Any idea what can be causing that? Sounds like a common problem with these front differentials. Could it just be a clearance issue or backlash setting on the pinion? I'm really considering sending it to someone to rebuild or put a locker in it . If you have any suggestions I would appreciate it!
  6. The other side does not have any play at all. The inner circlip on this side was missing so it probably allowed alot more movement on the right side than the left. I dropped it off at a machine shop and they're going to bore it out and put a bushing in. I'll try to post a video when I get it back. Hopefully takes care of it.
  7. Thanks....thats what I'm afraid of is that I'm gonna have to replace it. I am gonna check to see if I can carry it to a machine shop to get welded and turned back downwhich I figure would be cheaper than $1000....but who knows. Any ideas where I could find a used one?
  8. I am having issues with my front differential on my 19 defender HD10. I had a leaking seal and what I thought was a bad right axle. Turns out my axle inner cv did need to be replaced but it has also worn my differential as well. This is the main gear housing that the right axle fits into. Now even with the new right axle fully installed there is alot of play. Ill try to attach a video to show it. Is this tolerance and movement enough that the gear carrier needs to be replaced? I am hoping not since it's a $1000 part to replace. I've also looked into pin locker, halo, torq, locker etc but none of them replace the gear carrier that I have the issues with....just for reference the measurement on the axle for the this fit is right at 22 mm. The gear housing fit is worn out to 25 mm so you can see why it has so much movement. I'm afraid if I go back with it as is it will at a minimum wear the seal out immediately or cause more damage. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks! 20220129_164917.mp4
  9. Thanks for the responses. Actually figured out it was my own mistake....the outer race of my wheel bearing was missing and I didn't realize it when I put the hub on....dont know how i missed it but sure did.... I Replaced wheel bearing and it's all good now!
  10. Hi I have a 2019 hd10 cab version that has a catvos 5 inch lift and 32 in tires. Very clean bike and I got it a couple of weeks ago. The first ride both rear axles had busted boots. This ride was strictly on pavement as well nothing rough. I had the boots replaced and they busted again after the first ride ( again just pavement). I finally sent both axles back to turner and they replaced one cup and said one of the axles was too long??? Not sure how that happens but I just got through putting them back in and the hubs will not tighten up. Looks like the outer splines on both rear axles is sticking out a little too far (1/16) and will not allow the hub to tighten all the way. I did not have this problem before so I'm not sure what to do now. Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks!!
