    I spoke my my local dealer this morning. This cutout is for Digitally Encoded Security System D.E.S.S. Key.

    Thanks for the input. I had not seen USB with a voltmeter before. My model has 2 USB-A ports in the box above the steering wheel. But adding USB-C would be an improvement.

    I just bought a new 2021 Defender Max Limited. Does anyone know what this cutout is for? I was thinking about a second 12V socket running off the auxiliary battery? Is that a bad idea?
