Got my 2021 defender max xt hd8 this spring and found it great for our land and trails but lacking at our atv ranch Cloud 9 and local private trail ranches. Did the legwork and found what would be the least stress on sxs without major changes. Bought S3 HD springs and SuperATV 2” forward offset a arms, upgraded from maxxis bighorn 27” stock to 30” carnivores. Fun basic mod, gained 4” clearance and stability. Anyone know how much more I could gain cranking up the spring load?

Don’t get the stock limit straps on the doors, they are cheap and will tear out fairly quickly, at least my kids managed to destroy them pretty quick. I replaced with cable limit straps, very solid

I have the 2020 hd8 max xt, went with the can and doors. Not bad, little rattle at high speed on rough trails, plan on adding high density foam spacers to stop rattle

Looks great, really like the profile of the front bumper, any idea what that cost?

Yes I am cranking springs to max and testing it out at the atv ranch down here this weekend. I did look at the S3 springs we just couldn’t determine which model to pick bc they had not designated one for my specific sxs yet. I need to call them and ask, thanks for the feedback

Bought 2021 defender max xt Hd 8 this spring, love it but the ground clearance is lacking a bit. A patient of mine is the can am regional distributor and he leaned against lift kits and major tire increases because it stressed the engine and suspension. I’m trying to find a heavier duty spring for it but he and the dealer I bought from said the stock springs were the strongest available. Has anyone found a solution for increasing ground clearance without lift or significant tire size change? I’m not a major off-road guy but some of the terrain on my land can be challenging with the current ground clearance. Any suggestions appreciated.

I bought a 2021 defender max xt hd8 here in southern Missouri in March, took about 2 months to get in, had to get it from dealer 90 miles away bc Springfield was sold out and waitlisted. Bought my wife one too at the same time and we won’t get that one until August they said. Inventory completely wiped out in our area.
